I wish they wouldn't pretend. I don't mind a walk down to the post office, I'd much rather they take it straight there and send me an SMS when it's in, so I can come and get it sooner.

The last straw was when i had to lug back a computer monitor I got from the post office with a bung foot, didn't feel confident about driving with the bung foot either so i had to limp my way to the post office, it wasn't that it was heavy, new monitors are light as, but it was bulky with the box and difficult to carry a fair way.

Also, not really fair to call them morons. If they're not being given adequate time to do the entire job, it's not their fault.

It is dishonest. Because they have made the effort to go to where I live, he could have brought the package with him and the time he spent filling in the card he could have spent going from the mailbox to the front door.

If they need more time, if they need to charge more, fine. If Australia Post are providing unfair working conditions, either strike or leak information to the press about what is going on. To allow people to be charged for a service you aren't providing is fraudulent. It isn't an Aussie thing to do.

I don't pick overnight delivery, it is usually the 4-5 business days thing and it spends 90% of the time in the distribution depot. If it takes another day, who gives a ****, just deliver my shit or provide an option of deliver to your nearest post office.

Yeah the difference is one was self defence. The other was not.

One was protecting his community. The other was not.

One was threatened by a domestic abuser, a paedophile that r*ped a young boy, and another criminal. The other shot a kid and a teacher.
You left out the deaths caused by one shooter.

It’s just one case after another after another. Someone wrote in here ages ago that all this American stuff is exhausting. I’m starting to feel that too.

Their news dwarfs everything but it’s insignificant compared to what’s happening around the world. The unrest in Sudan, Gaddafi’s son entering into Libya politics, Modi backflipping on the farming thing, the Chinese government holding their best tennis player because she came out about sexual assault, the situation with refugees going from Belarus to Poland…and on and on

But for some bloody reason it’s the yanks that get our attention. Has to be the movies and music.
And fast foods.

I’ve had a bit of night tonight and I just wanted to say, I’m here every day. I don’t always feel the need to post but some of you are like my closest mates. Even tho we only argue haha. God bless this forum and carn the Roos. Thanks for always being loyal. Xx shout to the regs here

That’s nothing new though. Person gets picked on, person retaliates. Then they pay for their retaliation. Don’t see why the courts would except bullying as a defence.
C'mon Val...
Isn't a person able to vandalise someones property in peace these days?

:Sternlook

Actually reminds be of the WPA song summons in the morning.

They are trialling the secure lockers at the local PO. So far the results look promising. Half the battle of collecting is making the closing time.

Not so cute when she is biting. Teeth like needles ATM.
Yeah literally I went through ten pairs of earphones because my dogs kept chewing them

You left out that those were self defence. Officially declared so. The cause were people attacking him.
You are comparing what happened before the verdict between someone who shot and killed two people and was charged with murder with someone who didn't and the only reason you're doing is cos of their skin colour.

I dunno if you understand this or not but the legal system of many countries views causing death as more serious than not causing death.

Even tho Rittenhouse himself views property as more important than peoples lives according to his own statements. Notice how that wasn't taken into account during the trial? Cos its irrelevent to the circumstances. Still raises serious questions about his character tho. The only relevent circumstances in a comparison of what happened before these trials was one guy killed people one guy didn't.

My view of this situation is that its a massive cluster****. I dunno why Rosenbaum attacked him but once that happened everything else is a mess. He's attacked by people who think he is going around shooting people. Something that happens in the US all the time. They didn't attack him cos he was a redneck ****wit, even if it is true, in the same way he didn't Rosenbaum because its he's a creepy rock spider. Even tho its true.

It was just a shitful situation, bound to happen if you have people walking around with military weapons in a volatile environment.

And him being released because of a self defense finding seems fair to me even tho he probably should never have been there in the first place.

If he is a decent person he'll spend the rest of life wishing it had never happened.

One more point GG. The behaviour of certain elements of the twittersphere during this was pretty off. Smearing the other dead guy by calling him a rapist, making out he was a wife basher when his domestic violence incidents were fights with his siblings while he was suffering mental health issues, possibly a psychotic epidsode during the first one.

And the judge refusing to allow the people who were shot to be called victims even tho they were victims of a shooting (even if it was justified.)

Anyway its done now. I look forward to your justifications of why the McMicheals should get off too.

The only person that compared the two was you. I was merely pointing out a trend as an extension of what val wrote.

The victims thing was twisted by the twitterale. Best you see what the actual ruling was before jumping to conclusions.

I don't need to smear them. They did it themselves once their criminal records were highlighted. I'm just pointing out it's hard to feel sorry for someone when one of them r*ped a boy and sexually assaulted 4 others between the ages of 9-11. If you want to make excuses for them by all means. He should have been locked up for life and if he was he'd still be alive today.

I wasn't talking to you when you said this:

My main hope with all this is that we don't ever have to call Jy

Y’all never ever let personal anxieties and self doubt hold you back.

Starting the job at the department store I was shit scared, ball of anxiety but I took the challenge on, I put my mind to it and today 3/4 weeks later the team leader put me on the headset (only team leaders wear) to do what they do in the closing shifts and him asking me one day if I want to become a team leader (floor managers) describing me as confident “you act cool calm and collected, very chill”. I know it may sound stupid but I live by yolo cause like who cares if you make a mistake? It’s not the end of the world and I’ve made plenty and learned of them heaps but that’s made me a better person in the end.

I’ve always been a self doubter, it’s hard to change but once you do it’s the best thing for your mindset. Love you all.
