He has done it again..
And because Bob deserves the final word, I’d like to read a portion of his final message that he left to the country that I hope we all listen to in the days and weeks and months to come.
And I quote Bob Dole:
“I cannot pretend that I have not been a loyal champion [of] my party, but [I’ve] always served my country best when I did [it] so first and foremost as an American.”
“When we prioritize principles over party and humanity over personal legacy” — when we do that, we “accomplish far more as a nation. By leading with shared faith in each other, we become America at its best.” He went on to say, “a beacon of hope, a source of comfort in crisis, a shield against those who threaten freedom.”
“Our nation has certainly faced periods of division. But at the end of the day, we have always found ways to come together. We can find that unity again.”
And then the message said, end of message.
My fellow Americans, America has lost one of our greatest patriots. We may follow his wisdom, I hope, and his timeless truth. But the truth of the matter is: As divided as we are, the only way forward for democracy is unity, consensus — the only way. May we follow his wisdom and his timeless truth and reach consensus on the basic fundamental principles we all agree on.
May God bless Bob Dole. May God bless America. And may God protect our troops.
Well, he said it, but people often says things like "end quote" to make it clear they are no longer quoting someone - which is what happened. It's clumsy, but it's fine.

I don't think DR is that smart, tbh.You wouldn't be suggesting that people are being disingenuous, would you?

Here's the quote:
Can imagine Putin luring him into a carefully laid trap, finally goes to close the deal only to find....Biden asleep. He just had a two hour private conversation with Putin over zoom about the situation with Ukraine. Really hope he had someone helping him out because Putin would eat him alive.
Yeah, I literally said that he said it.Hahahaha,
he clearly ad-libs with the ‘and the message said’..
then goes on to say ‘end of message’.
it’s right in the transcript, you’re losing the plot..
Yesterday was an eventful day at work
I was with one of the Team Leaders (managers) wheeling a rail full of clothes into the change rooms and half way there a big bloke comes up to us and is like
“don’t take this the wrong way but do any of you guys give a single fu** about your job?”
my jaw DROPPED. My manager was so calm with him and he was like “what can I help you with but please don’t swear at us” so apparently he went to a concession brand worker to ask if another brand had a size in shorts, she can’t help him because she can only work within her brand so she told him to ask a worker at the registers, he proceeds to brag about how he is a millionaire (like why are you shopping at reserve if your a millionaire LOL) and then he says to her “your just a retail worker”
I had another customer just throw gift cards at me after he used them, like how hard is it to just place them on the table.
Ugh and like people who try to tell me how to do my job like with gift cards we don’t scan the rewards card because your rewards card will go on their purchases rather than your own, and I told this guy SEVERAL TIMES sorry but we just can’t do that and gave him the reason and saying “sorry but my manager has told me that we just can’t do that, sorry”Christmas shopping brings out all the pricks.

The guy throwing gift cards at me had such a sly face like I had to keep my calm and I had to hold myself back so bad from saying “you can just place them on the table thank you”If you're caught treating retail and hospo staff like sh*t you should be put through a mandatory awareness course that consists of you being abused by customers. Cannot believe how some people talk to other members of society.
That's why I only observe Festivus these days.Christmas shopping brings out all the pricks.
