Can anyone explain what the 'Raw' score from the VCE is; the one that gets put into the ATAR calculator?

Raw score is without scaling. Scaling depends on how easy/hard the sacs were, standard distribution of data.

basically raw study score is ur ranking among other students, the median is 30

But where is the score shown on the results page?
Should have been emailed to the student and on the VCAA website when you login

should be under Vass.support

I’m also champing at the bit to get my guitar amps back out, once my toddlers can amuse themselves for like an hour at a time. 😩

went to set mine up for the first time since the move a few weeks back and was plaged with issues, dirty pots on the pickups and amp, buzzing cables so bad earth on the guitar then realised i can hear the ticking from the electric fence energiser coming through. so little bit more work in that area, stull waiting on a floyd rose tremelo bridge to arrive.

Is this even english ?
It’s really hard to understand when your not in the system lol.

scaling depends on if the VCAA examines your sacs on being easier than the rest or harder than the rest in which easier scales down and harder scales up. All for the bell curve 🤪

Ok ok hoju

Im going to use my Further Maths SS as a example.

So your study Score is basically your ranking and represents how well you do relative to everyone else in the state in the subject.

it’s basically scored on a scale between 1-50 and 30 as I said is the median. It also depends on how well your cohort does on the SACs and the exam in which can help bump up your SS, but it mainly depends on the competition within the subject.

So my raw SS for Further was C+ C+ C+ 29, I was just below median but it scaled down 2 to a 27🥲🥲🥲🥲 THE ONLY MATHS TO GET SCALED DOWN, it usually scales up

The median ATAR at my school was/is/will always be about 95 which equates to a lot of raw scores around 45, being marked up to 50 and English score of 28.

Hey ferball how goods your memory? Do you remember a few years ago I posted a bit of digital art by a dude who goes by Beeple? Think it was a Trump piece. Your response was “Just because you can doesn’t mean you should”

Well that dude has made over $100M USD this year alone selling his art as NFT’s. I still don’t really understand why people buy NFT’s. I tried searching for it but couldn’t find it.

Bouncy castle incident in Devonport is horrible.

Those things are dangerous as it is when you get trampled on by others.

Stricter safety regulations or ban the lot.
I recall at dandenong show years ago one went in the air in same manner and one of the ropes took a worker up by the leg.
