My sister in law is a doctor at the children’s hospital, she specialises in spinal injuries (there’s a name for it but can’t for the life of me remember what it is) she says jumping castles, play grounds, trampolines injuries and obviously car accidents are the 4 that kids get hurt the most on.
used to be falls from monkey bars and trees until the schools ripped all the monkey bars out and kids dont climb trees because we have chopped them all down. its a slippery slide because now more than ever kids prolly should be doing more physical activity because with gaming consoles, nexflix subscriptions and mobile devices they tend to spend a lot of time behind screens instead these days ( fwiw adults as well) ,

mate of mine got a go cart and mini bikes for his kids when he lived on a bit of land, they just sort of shrugged shoulders and migrated back into the air conditioned comfort of their gaming consoles. her stated when he was a kid he would have been wrapped.

My kids school still has monkey bars.

I know what you mean though. Pre covid lockdown my kids were doing six hours of brazilian jiu jitsu a week. Sadly I haven’t been able to convince them to go back.

They used to love it but they’re so used to staying home that they don’t want to do anything. I’m not going to force them to do something they don’t want to do, but I will make them choose something to replace it with. No way am I going to let them just sit on the couch.

My youngest told me she wants to do rock climbing (flipping lol) but I have no idea how to even get her into that.

There’s some awesome indoor rock climbing places at those multi sport places. Used to be one under the Westgate.

The most awkward thing I’ve done at work is measuring a guy for a suit especially an older guy lol

just putting the tape measurer around their waist is just SO AWKWARD
More awkward is when you ask "which way do you dress", and they lie!

They've just installed some climbing walls at my local park. I think they're more of a danger to adults who have an overinflated sense of their physical abilities (i.e. me) than they are to kids.

One of my kids love climbing the walls at places like Latitude, and there are other things to do there for the one who prefers trampolines and so on.

I think they are the current trend. Bloke at work said he saw some climbing walls installed under a bridge.

Appreciate the responses but does anyone know if there’s a school or something I can sign her up to? I’ll have to spend some time looking for something. She’s already really good at the indoor climbing, probably because she weighs bugger all and has zero fear or anything except moths lol.

Sort of at the mercy of where you live. Either that or it's time to get very familiar with the road to cathedral ranges. The silver lining is that the Buxton Roadhouse does a fantastic hamburger. Dont tell gaso or he will begin detouring from the Wandin dirty bird.

People reckon Google's algorithms are getting better. Hehe, as long as I keep getting newsfeeds that sam frost has quit neighbours or Bartels ex missus is working out with her personal trainer they still have a LOT of improvement to do.
