Do you mean the Wiggles?

FFS

I will say that the two worst bands I ever saw (in no particular order) were the Cockroaches and the Young Homebuyers. Whether that offends anybody here or not is not going to influence me. I made a note to avoid seeing these bands under any circumsatances (along with almost any band playing downstairs at the Armidale).
YES THEY SANG FRUIT SALAD. I do question my choice as a young girl why I dressed up as captain feather sword. I had so many choices.

You send them underground and the sh*t will get real
Yep.

Plus the huge section of the bill that has nothing to do with bikers can be used to target anyone who has ever done anything wrong.

The worst thing is that effectively people can be punished for the same crime twice.

Article 14

7. No one shall be liable to be tried or punished again for an offence for which he has already been finally convicted or acquitted in accordance with the law and penal procedure of each country.

But I guess human rights are so last century.

At least this time he didn't accuse the alp government of leasing an airbase to the Chinese in the outback. He did in on Youtube in 2019 and its complete bullshit. Especially cos he then tried to sell a mine with a significant airfield to a Chinese state owned mining company and it ended up in court when the WA government told him to * off!

Guys I’m having a uni crisis rn.

I just don’t think biomed is for me and I want to lean towards nursing. I don’t know what to do because I can’t transfer from biomed into nursing because I won’t meet the criteria.

I am thinking of doing diploma of nursing then into my Bach.

What's the criteria? About 10 odd years ago the health sciences degrees all had standard core units which meant you were pretty interchangeable for the first year or two. Maybe an extra six months tacked on at the end if some RPL wasn't applicable.

I’m not sure I applied for a transfer but haven’t heard anything yet.

I applied for 2 diplomas tho

You might be alright - you have VCE within last two years right? If you got into biomed and your VCE is still recent you'll be considered pretty favourably. Just looked at the core subjects and there's only a few which cross over but you may be able to knock those off your electives. Not sure what grades you need for internal transfers but it may be worth enquiring to see if you can add in a personal statement as well to your application, where you could discuss your reasons for wanting to transfer in.

It would have been way easier to apply with vtac but I didn’t re new my account 💔

I would do biomed only if I could go into 2nd year nursing but I can’t 💔💔💔

I told my parents I wanted to change course and of course they don’t want me to. I told them look Biomed isn’t for me, I just don’t think I could do it and it’s not the path I want to go down because there is hardly any jobs where as nursing there will always be jobs.

Due to their reaction I got emotional in my room because I just didn’t think my side was being heard and being supported. This was met with my mum yelling at me for crying and her yelling “god I’m always in the wrong”. Why is she making it all about her? I don’t get it, when I told her why I was crying as well it was met with her yelling again. Like I just want support.

My dad came home and was just like “we want you to be successful” like I’m not going to be successful if I’m going to be a nurse.

I just want to be heard and supported.

In the heat of the moment sometimes it seems like parents want like a better return on investment with their kids, but it comes from a good place. They probs just want to see you maximize your earning potential in the future... Like everyone wants their young to grow up to be a doctor/senator/whatever because it's prestigious.
I got a similar pushback when I wanted to do a chef apprenticeship- "I spent all this money on a private school and you don't want to go to uni?"
It was a bit rougher than that but you get the idea.

Anyway I still ended up trying my hand at some other stuff in TAFE but there's nothing wrong with taking your own path. A career counselor I spoke with years and years back rightfully told me life will never take the path you expect. All you can do is what you feel is right. If you enjoy it/apply yourself and put enough work in any career path will reward you.

I guess in this case it's much better to be a passionate nurse than to half ass a career as a lab tech or something.

They'll cool off and come around

Like I can still go to med school if I am going to do a Bach of nursing and like I’ll always have a career to fall back on if I don’t make it.

I don’t even know why they are placing so much pressure on me lol do they not realise their son was literally topping the class in VCE biology whilst he was in year 10 and everyone was in year 11 and is choosing to do specialist mathematics and methods and physics. He also literally averages high 90s in every class LMAO like he is more likely to do the doctor s**t than I am 😭

Like I’m filo I was always destined to do nursing LOL

It can be pretty tough when you don't get along with your folks and I won't even begin to guess the pressures to succeed coming from Asian parents.

Your parents love you and I reckon they'll come around to the idea of changing courses with some time. Ultimately they just want to see you end up as some bum that never amounted to anything.

You've really gotta do what's best for yourself in these situations.
