I think we can allow ourselves to get too wound up in our attempt to be seen as perfect in this regard. All massive companies become/are ultimately toxic. We (the great unwashed) are completely compromised by the fact that we literally cannot function in present society without them. In some ways the best we can do is focus on individual issues, one at a time. Neil Young’s actions can be viewed in that light. He’s got a big problem with Joe Rogan right now, so it makes sense to go after Spotify. Above and beyond that, we’d really, really be kidding ourselves if we focussed on every single utterance that emanates from the mouth of Neil Young. People who are aware of Neil Young know full well what he “stands for” - a maverick who swims against the current.

On one hand, we have a bloke occupying the highest office in the land who's a liar, hypocrite and can't be trusted. On the other, we have the bloke who believes that happy to be the other's deputy and who thinks we're silly enough to swallow his retraction.
