Reminds me of the time someone posted a picture of an insertable garden gnome. No prizes for guessing who.

Anyway I just had a phone call from an unrecognised number followed by a message that was weird but had no obvious links and had the words "Message2text" at the end., it sounded read like a garbled message from my brother asking me to ring mum. But from a different phone number.

So i sent him a text asking him if he'd tried to contact me from another phone. He replied that he hadn't. We had a brief chat and he asked me to c&p the message. When I pasted it into the field to send it to him it had the words "MESSAGE2TEXT", suddenly in capitals (not lower case like before) and underlined and another word in the message was underlined. So I deleted the ,message from the text I was sending him and as I deleted each letter, the word it was part of was suddenly underlined. This was for every word in the message.

Normally links in my texts are underlined exactly like that.

Scams have been getting cleverer and cleverer. I'm inclined to think this is one. (I haven't called the number yet to see what the story is.)

Or at least alot more believable.

And I reckon there is a link hidden in the text with no obvious clue its a link.

At some point soon they'll be very hard to pick.

I saw a decent sized brown snake on the road near the Maribyrnong yesterday. Think it was sunning itself and took off into the grass when my car got close. I know they’re around but it’s the first time I’ve seen one in the suburbs.

A bloke was walking with his dog off the lead beside the road, the dog was headed straight for it, I stopped and told the bloke, he put his dog on the lead but he was looking at me like he didn’t believe me lol. Wish I took a photo but it took off pretty quick.

I just find it pretty transparent what the government is trying to do.

ie. Does Hamas have some nasty radical dudes? Of course.

Have they done anything in the past couple months to present a greater threat to Australia or international security than they did at any other point of the past decade? Uh, no, no they have not.

What possible rationale could there be for listing them right now? Oh that's right, we're in an defacto election campaign, the govt is ten points behind in Newspoll, Dutton and Scomo have just gotten the natsec community offside with the comments about the ALP and China, and they desperately need to get back to a natsec narrative where they look vaguely responsible.

It’s a pretty weak tactic if this is their go to for trying to balance out their stuff ups.

Must admit I don’t know a heap about the Palestinian government setup. Is Hamas an arm of the government or are they more like a militia? Or is it a bit like the IRA and Sinn Fein
