Possibly one for the mental health thread instead.
I worry that I might have been reading too many of Ziebull's posts.
Because I think I'm coming around to the idea of offering Darcy Moore a contract on competitive market rates.

Looks like it is all in one pile. Can't imagine having to go thru it all and sort

“For residents and business owners a free kerbside collection for flood waste will be undertaken,” Mr De Szell said.

The waste is required to be sorted into piles on the kerb into the following categories -

• food waste (use your red lid bin first. If the bin is full put food waste in a container on the curb side. Food can also be taken to MidCoast waste management centres free of charge)

• hard bulk waste (furniture, carpets, mattresses)

• green waste (vegetation)

• scrap metal (whitegoods and e-waste)

• hazardous materials (gas bottles, paint, pool chemicals, unlabelled drums)

the whole premise you can invade another country easily is flawed, and even if you do get the immediate upper hand the people will dig in and white ant you for decades to come, is there an example where another nation has taken over another country in a hostile manner and pacified the people? i can think of at least many examples of where they haven't,

even countries where internal leaders rule absolutely get overthrown in time, Franco, Tito, Magabe.
New Zealand didn’t put up a fight, for all their so-called bravery, they rolled over like half-tonne mum looking for cupcake when Cooky arrived.

Putin will go for his 1-wood soon…

Tito didn't get overthrown, the 1974 constitution granted him a comfy semi retirement until his death. Some bloke in Cuba lasted too.

James Cook? I think on his first visit he killed about ten of them. Next time they killed ten of his blokes. On the third visit I think they gave each other a wide berth before he went off to be killed by a bunch of Hawaiians.

I still can’t comprehend how Freddie mercury wrote Bohemian Rhapsody even after watching documentaries and movies.

It’s truely only what a genius does.

Awful lotta rubbish And's ☹

Gerry Harvey pushed his $rices up yet ?

It seems that North are now a year by year proposition for getting their Hobart Tenure renewed by the Tasmanian Tourism, particularly noting that they would only sign North on for another year for season 2022, perhaps in consideration that the AFL are due to make a determination in August about whether there will be a 19th team.

If Tassie do get their own team then we can definitely assume that North and Hawthorn will likely be both shown the door. While Hawthorn can survive without the extra Tassie dollars, North still need to sell games in order to remain viable despite being debt free as we are only making marginal club profits at the present time measured by $150-300,000 per-annum.

North last year had 6,696 Tasmanian members and it's a fair bet that many of those may choose to abandon us if Tassie has its own team. So should North now be looking for another alternative venue in an AFL centric area with a significant population where they could readily build back at least 4,000 members? It seems to me that there are two likely candidates. Albury would be a good fit, but so would Bendigo which is much closer to Melbourne (153 km). Bendigo games could be played at the QEO against Sydney teams given that Bendigo has direct Qantas flights to and from Sydney. That said, Albury which is 300 km from Melbourne also offers direct air services to both Sydney and Melbourne.

Albury-Wodonga have a combined population of about 98,000 while Bendigo has approximately 104,000 in its suburban area and of the two cities, Bendigo is definitively growing faster.

Bendigo's QEO could be quite easily upgraded by construction of a new stand on its Northern boundary which has no heritage issues (On the left boundary of the oval in the image below), the installation of a video screen scoreboard and a lighting upgrade. Those modifications would cost in the order of $25 million and voila you have a highly accessible, high quality 13,000 capacity ground to rival Ballarat's Mars Stadium that is only six minutes walk from the heart of Bendigo and about 15 minutes walk to the Bendigo railway station with plenty of pubs and eateries in between.

That said, Albury's Lavington Sports Ground is virtually AFL ready after recent upgrades, but is at a distinct disadvantage of being on the outer North Western extreme of Albury and is car accessible only.

Below. The QEO in Bendigo has considerable potential for development:

Playing games anywhere other than Melbourne will add to the "Move North Somewhere" narrative, and IMO would be a big mistake.

Oh I so do know what you mean. At the moment the reality is that smaller Melbourne clubs like the Western Bulldogs and North Melbourne have exhausted their metro growth boundaries and I can give you a lot of answers as to why this has occurred. The Western Bulldogs took a leap acros Melbourne's ethnically driven soccer belt of its West to reclaim the Barrasi Belt zone of regional Western Victoria with Ballarat as its hub. North need to make some very quick decisions to claim Victoria's regional North IMO. August this year will define our future.

Up there with stairway, amazing what people can write when not pigeon holed by the then industries 3 minute placeholder. Brian Mays lead break deserves a mention as well. Comes in at the perfect time to break the tension the song builds from the very beginning.
