“I’m sick of the majors. So I’m voting for a racist party that always supports the libs and is just as corrupt, and we’re literally busted pledging to change laws for foreign money”.

Always gives me a laugh.

Remember the Australian Sex Party? They're slogan once was "We make sure you come first" Gotta be worth a vote

Was Combargo where Scummo went to shake old mates hand but he wouldn't and then he tried to grab at it?

I'm in Cairns, so a world away.

Tbqh, I can't stand politics and the people that come with it. The last 2 years has shown me everything I need to know about our 'leaders'

I was the same. Wasn't on an electoral role until 30s and this is the first time I'm taking a real interest in any election. Fed up.

Yeah that was Cobargo. We're at the other end of NSW but we had a crew down there in the days afterward. I had a couple of mates who were in town talking to locals who survived. I've seen photos they took. The whole town was gone, the people that survived, survived with what they had on their backs by hiding in the fire shed while everything around them burned.

They had nothing, couldn't even shower afterward.

And a motorcade of schmick new cars full of politicians, sycophants and apparatchiks rolled into town in beautiful new clothes trying to get everyone sorted for a media event for the PM. Every other PM of any side of politics that I could remember would have had more care and concern for the locals than Morrison did. I remember when Whitlam was sacked, I was six so I don't remember the context, just that it was a big deal. He and every PM since would have had more compassion for those people. Especially Tony Abbot or Gillard (imo.) But even Howard, Keating, Rudd and Turnbull have actually shown a bit of love and care for people in disasters.

Even if they were faking it at least making that effort gives those people something. I honestly couldn't believe that. Morrison didn't even make the effort to pretend he cared. Then they all drove out of town with their nice cars and new clean clothes leaving those people with nothing.

To me that's beyond party politics. That's complete disregard for the people you are sposed to be leading.

Mavs tearing it up in the NBA, just dumped the title favorites out by the equivalent of a 15 goal margin.

Recommend people to watch if you are down on the footy...young team with generational player Luka who will be better than Lebron. Oh, and beautiful royal blue and white team colours too!

I just did my Pre-Poll Vote. I just know that it must have a Donkey Vote because irrespective of who I voted for I suspect that they will likely just turn out to be an Ass.

If vanilla ice cream had a more boring cousin, it would still be 1,000 times more interesting than Guy.
As a Texan political consultant Bill Miller once said, "Politics is like show business for ugly people"

Not going to lie, the terrorists attack in the US took a turn I wasn’t expecting when it turned out to be a Chinese person angry about the recognition of Taiwan.
Is that the one in Buffalo?

Just listening to the Sammy the Bull podcast (ex mafia underboss with at least 19 bodies on him) and the Liberal party is advertising on his podcast. LOL
Which Podcast is that mate?
I listened to a really good one on the melbourne underworld killings recently. The lady that did it did a follow up series on Maria James who was murdered in her bookshop in Northcote in the 80's , very upsetting

It’s pretty interesting. The American mafia is a whole other beast to our crims.

Sammy is obviously a narcissist and nothings his fault but he tells all. But goes into famous hits and little stories of close calls where people didn’t even know they were going to be hit only to saved by a split second change of heart.

It’s actually mental that Sammy is out. Must have dirt on people in high places. Testifies against Gotti, who tbf was trying to throw Sammy under the bus, gets out of prison and leaves witnesses protection only to be caught selling commercial quantities of ecstasy in Arizona and gets out again. Now his got one of the biggest crime podcasts. Wild. Reckons the mob now isn’t worth worrying about.

I still can't work out if Rogan's super stupid / gullible, or just cynically deals in disinformation to generate more cash:

I listened to that. I don’t know where he gets this s**t from. Jamie corrected it pretty quickly. Don’t know how it’s newsworthy tbh.

One of the most annoying things about his podcast since the pandemic is he has a very skewed view on what’s happening in Australia. It’s weird tbh.

He has hours of conversations and he’ll say stupid/ill informed stuff but he’ll usually correct it.

For example he goes on about our draconian covid rules and uses it as an example of why it’s good that Americans have guns.

Yeah, it seems that this one was nipped in the bud quickly, but he runs with misinformation too often.

He does. He’s a comedian and cage fight commentator who smokes weed and drinks whiskey and talks s**t. Not someone to listen to for news or informed opinions, unless it’s on mma, hunting or stand up. He’s just very popular and articles about him are just click bait.

Pity he didn't mention the new powers cops have since the other day. Convicted drug dealers can now have their person, homes, cars or other property searched at any time without a warrant.

This is any time after their conviction, including after any penalties have been paid (ie prison or fines.) Even twenty years later.

Sounds like socialism. :stern look

Seriously, how can they only have 3 major baby formula manufacturers, we have 7 and have less than a tenth of their population. Maybe if they reigned in on monopolies and oligopolies they would have fewer of these issues.
