Long shot - but is anyone here a mortgage broker or been close enough to one to give some insight?

Currently feeling the need for a career change. My current career is very conflict driven, and seems to be constantly putting out fires of our own making on deadlines that are ridiculous and of our own making. All for a very hard to identify tangible benefit. It's stressful to say the least and it's getting to me a bit.

A few mates have suggested looking at mortgage broking as a scalable job if you're able to run your own show, that has some stress but is mostly just a bit of helping educate people and being adept at planning and organisation.

It's interesting, but not quite sold on the idea and would be keen to hear from some peeps about how they find the industry and their work.

The mortgage broker I use is under Aussie Home Loans, but it's really just one bloke and his two kids. Seems like a nice set up.

Firewood sorted for a few months, last of the rounds i had split and stacked, happy days now beer oclock. Even modified the jockey wheel on the trailer thats been annoying me, was about 30mm to low for it to swing away properly when hitched. Lovely now. One hand operation.

One of the many "missed it by that much" moments of my life is a band I was in had to decline a show opening for The Proclaimers because a couple of band members were overseas for work and their bosses wouldn't let them come back for it.
