Yeahhhhh I didn't "publish" anything. It was a private message, that someone here revealed because they had hurt feelings about being exposed as having really embarrassing takes on CSA.

Nice try though 👍🏽

So it’s ok to send private messages to someone telling them other posters real name?

You ****ed up by doxxing an anonymous poster to me via PM.

I’d love to hear it!

Edinburgh for me, with Amsterdam a distant second. I’ve only been to Europe once though, probably went to 10 cities I guess.

Paros in Greece was beautiful. Nessebar in Bulgaria also. Menton is a nice little seaside town that feels more Italy than France. Plenty in Italy as well. Bergamo was something different too given just how old it is. Feels like you've stepped back in time.

Sibiu, Sighisoara and Brasov in Romania are personal favourites as well.

Paris also impressed me as I've never liked a big city before. Though I'm told I lucked out in terms of timing.

I'm keen to see Edinburgh and Amsterdam. Both up there on my list but geez it's hard to justify a summer in the British Isles.

I can't seem to PM you anyway?

Probably been doxxing too many people on PM and had your privileges revoked.

I can put in a good word for you with Chief if you want

My favourite city visited has to be Berlin. Stayed in a neighbourhood in the old East part that had been massively gentrified. Around 100 metres where the wall once stood. The host of the airbnb was telling us that the ‘uprising’ basically started in the area, mainly from students. Very grungy place, plenty of people drinking on the streets and stoners everywhere but generally felt safe at all times.
Santorini although now heavily commercialised is spectacular especially if staying somewhere up on the cliffs facing the sea. Has a sense of mystique. Been on 3 separate occasions and will never get bored of this place. Kefalonia on the Ionian side is also another favourite. Beautiful scenery, beaches and some quaint little towns and villages that you discover along your travels. Planning on visiting Greece once again next year. Crete and Corfu are on the agenda this time.
Went to Lake Como by chance and absolutely loved it. Me and my wife were in Milan (before kids) and had a spare half day and the guy at hotel reception suggested we go there. Only a half hour train ride away so we thought why not. Had heard of it but didn’t realise how nice it was. Real lifestyles of the rich and famous stuff type place.
I have also enjoyed visiting the ‘old towns’ and neighbourhoods in Singapore, KL, Bangkok, Phuket, Penang, Doha.

As for the teacher/student sex debate…. well I asked my wife who is a senior high school teacher. Simply under no circumstances whatsoever should a teacher have that sort encounter or relationship with a student. Problem nowdays is some teachers think it’s ok and cool to be chummy, friends, mates etc with students. It can lead to issues. She always tells her students that ”l’m not your friend” and keeps her distance.

I feel like I could live in Europe, in southern Italy. My partner said she liked it as a holiday, but couldn't deal with the way nothing is ever in a rush, and thing like opening hours are more of a suggestion. I kind of like that aspect.

Definitely sleazy dirt bags. And just because it wasn't illegal then (I presume) doesn't make it right.
Personally I'm glad to live in a society that is much more thoughtful and protective of the interests of children.
The world doesn't uniformly progress positively over time, but in some ways it does. I remember years ago reading quotes from 19th century British parliamentary debates containing howls of outrage over laws to prohibit sex with girls under 12, over denying their sons the pleasures the MPs had had with maid servants.
Very few, if any, of those names on your list would have had sex with under-age girls since the 1970s and I sincerely hope it is a much tinier cohort of rock stars today who engage in paedophilia (which may not be the clinically correct term but I prefer to keep the associated smear)

Pretty sure it was illegal for Jimmy Page to send his minder round to 14 year olds houses to pick them up for a weekend of sex and drugs with him. Allegedly the parents were cool with this and it was LA in the 70s so its not like anyone had any morals or clue about anything. I'd cut their balls off if someone tried that with my daughters.

Its not a comfortable conversation but I think pedophilia is a wiring issue not a choice.

I think those people have something ****ed up in their heads. Either from abuse as a child or some pre birth or imprinting thing.

Its not that simple tho. These people talk about loving children and how that love is reciprocated but everything I've read or heard is that they don't stop to ask. Those kids become objects not people. So I'm open to full on hate for them as well.

On the other hand sleaze bags know they are in a situation where they have an advantage over someone else who is ready to start exploring sex but not ready to understand what they're getting into. My eldest daughter is about to turn twelve and I find this challenging cos I loved having a good time when i was younger and there was nothing wrong with any of it but it very easy for things to go pear shaped.

BTW I'm not a wowser - pills and lines and ****ing for days on end is great and everyone should do it at least a couple of times in their life. But probably not before they're 20. And there is so much potential danger there too. But doing it safely should be a life afffirming experience.

But getting back to teacher.

When i was young I would never have seen that power imbalance their or given a **** about it if I'd been given the opportunity... I'd have been thinking with my other head and like so many of my other **** ups put it down to part of growing up.

Its run by nazis these days. Well they'd probably call themselves fascists i spose. Same shit, slightly different bucket.

Did they, tbh I don't recall that detail.

Age of consent here is 16, so its kind of immaterial.

And as I said earlier, I think most people would find a 16 year old male and woman in her mid 30s having the SECKS pretty gross and problematic even outside of any setting where it is governed by laws like a school.
Would the 16 year old be one of those people?

We had the wood royal commission, that started off about nsw corruption and ended up uncovering the real issue underage grooming.
Unfortunately a lot of these topics are linked, you’ll find that teachers groomed at risk kids and pushed them into the above system.
The whole episode was so ****ed they decided to lock the findings for 100 years or basically we should just accept that judges, politicians and senior police are completely compromised.
I know a girl, well she's in her 40s now, who was abused from the age of three by her step dad who was vice principle of a prestigious girls private school in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. He was also the rape councellor there and when i met that girl she was 16, had been working as a prostitute for years and he seemed to be involved with getting her started in that business.

I helped get her out of that situation and its one of the reasons I stayed out of Melbourne till alot of campaigners got shot.

At least Epstein took his victims to a tropical island, these kids in nsw were given a bucketload of smack and dumped on the streets.
Some of those people need to be cut up with chainsaws. If i knew I was dying of terminal cancer I'd give it some serious thought.

There’s a moment in life when you realise girls are just as promiscuous as guys, and those times as a weird teenager spent at those over 28 bars were just plain weird..
you don’t even need alcohol just a smile and a good sense of humour.
Once you learn that life becomes alot more fun.
