The awarding winning rmit programme was found to be a bunch of journalism students who came so far out of their lane it wasn’t funny..
factcheckers should be for the bin but something like the above is good where they can tell if source material was edited.

It’s headed by Russell Skelton now. Walkley award winner and 40 years journalistic experience and he has a team of heavy hitters under him. They do use students as interns but they’re very much underlings.

Who to believe, who to believe, foia request shows they used the power of the state to shut down dialog about something they were way under qualified to fact check. They either went with the feels or spoke to someone who didn’t want their name appearing on any fact check, which should’ve been massive red flags.

Journalist shouldn’t be deciding what is real or fake..
they’re not exactly the most trusted profession, and since Murdochs empire, it would be hard pressed to find one that speaks truth to power

Go back to the link, they weren’t at the time.. they ended up having to reinstate the post because it was factual, only a year later.

the whole thing is another shameful episode by journalists, they should be focusing on goverment and corporations, the two largest sources of misinformation on the planet, not some random who has to use a anonymous account because of fear of reprisal.

They literally ditched their job as the forth estate and moved over to state propagandists overnight.
