My point was more the lack of acceptance to the symbol and peoples views of symbolism in general. Same as people claim "my grand father died for that flag".

The actions on the other hand be judged on their merits.

Just reinforces peoples fascination with symbolism.

Dont even get me started with the occult.

Have to admit i do enjoy the themes some metal bands portrey with light hearted symbolism. Led zep and manowar have dabbled a bit. Even kiss were critisised as the double s was simmilar to the nazi special service insignia, oddly enough so was the holden badge on thier sports sedans.

Led Zep (well Jimmy Page,) were right into it.

Whether he still is I dunno.

Some of the most influential modern pop and rock muso's - David tibet, Jaz Coleman, GPO - were right into mysticism and what not during their most productive periods. Even Sting used to bang on about it but I think that was just bragging.

Mate down the road i grew up with used to drum this line, his family were god botherers.

Even had some dark theory the peter criss left the band over some spell gene symmons cast on him.
