I think I’m going to complete and pass my diploma, I’ve got my clinical skills assessment next week, I had some practices today and I think I’ve got it down pat. 15 minutes flys by so quickly but I’ve just gotta compose myself.

I’ve applied for a course at swinburne & fingers crossed about that - I think I just need a change from La trobe - I need a new environment + it’s only 15 mins more travel time which I live more closer to La trobe but still takes me an hour and 15 to get there which is mental. I bet you’d hate to learn what a few of us grumpy olds had to stump up for a house in a now expensive area back in the day. It’s all relative of course but I do feel for the younger gen trying to get a start in the property game these days.

It is crazy how cheap a house was in my dad's time, even as a ratio of what he was earning was still staggering, he was able to pay off his house in under 10 years as the only income earner with a family of four kids. That lifestyle is completely dead now and we wonder why our population is going backwards without migration. It has been a dereliction of their duty for governments to allow this to happen.

Negative gearing needs to go from residential housing, allow it for shares or apartment complexes or commercial property.

Yeah its crazy. I nearly bought a house in Richmond back in 2007 that I would have no chance of buying now, decided to go overseas instead, no regrets though.

My father in law bought a house in Rathdown street Carlton North not long after he got to Australia for a few grand, though wages were way lower as well.
