I'm of the view that if you dish it out you've got to be able to take it back.

Only time I've reported posts for personal stuff is people using my real name.
I hear ya. I've only got in trouble when I've given it back. But like you I've promised the mods not to question who is and isn't allowed to abuse.

Also, RFK tweeted and has since deleted this one, that showed a Russian graphic designer made this image for him. The shop in the background is called 'Caeser' in Russian lol, and the chalkboard is Russian too;

It's midjourney AI...

You've got Russia on the brain. I bet you've said the world more than Hillary over the past 7 years.

It is amazing how Russia suddenly became the big bad dudes again just the American wars of choice in the Middle East and Afghanistan ground to a halt with a strategic American defeats.

Indeed, Russia intervening in Syria at the invitation of Assad to protect their client from the bloodthirsty jihadists the US had armed in 2015 seems to have been the turning point.

Instead of confected crap about 2016 election interference, it was Russia's ability to intervene on the global stage and stymie US imperial plans that meant they had to become The Bad Guys again.

No it's not.

It's a Russian stock-image;

I find it difficult to discuss these things with you as you have a full bore Team USA v Them Evil Russkies mindset, and I promised the mods I wouldn't get into personal slanging matches.

And likewise I find it difficult to discuss these things with you as your default position on all things lately appears to be "USA is great satan" and "Russia is the motherland". And I'm not the only one who has publicly posted/commented about this perceived bias of yours.

This here proves the point. He has continually said how bad Russia and Putin are. Your bias is incredible. Both of us pointed out your example with Paul was incorrect yet you haven't responded. Why?

Lol, another neocon talking point, you’re either with us or against us rhetoric, conversation needs more nuance.

Please cite one of his posts where he has said Russia specifically is bad. Not Putin. But Russia.

It isn't.

My position is based on a hard realpolitik take on world affairs.

It's just that you're so fully entrenched in the Team USA vibe that any dissent from the prevailing line on imperial affairs can only be understood as "Russia is the motherland."

Have you ever read CLR James majestic Beyond A Boundary?

Apart from being the best cricket book ever, it is also about colonialism, and as James points out, the first place that gets colonised is your mind.

So the whole book is about how a black Caribbean man who loves cricket comes to 1930s England and realises that he knows the country better than the people who live there ... he's got a scholarship to Oxford or similar.

But the ignorant racists treat him like crap, and he gets radicalised by the experience and comes to understand how cricket was the vehicle for British colonialism to take over his mind.

He had such a positive view of Britain, and when he got there, he learned the hard way that the people there actually hated him.

I'm not saying this to pick a fight, its just an observation that its completely understandable that someone so invested in US culture via your love for a sporting team there has undergone a similar mental colonisation to James.

Obviously he recognised it, broke free and became one of the great Marxist and indeed anythingy historians of all time.

I find these discussion quite entertaining tbh, when I was over in the UK in November and December I met up with multiple journo mates who are banned from Russia and under sanctions. One very good friend regularly travels to Ukraine to cover the fighting and has been repeatedly sanctioned.

I'm without doubt on Russian intelligence lists as owner of a phone that pings in the houses of people they've sanctioned and have on various lists, so am also deeply suspect too.

But aye, Russia Is The Motherland mate.

Anyway, do yourself a favour and read James, its riveting stuff.

Which Russia though?

Are you honestly demanding I post RUSSIA IS BAD because I reckon that might say a fair bit more about your arguments than mine lol.

This whole "Chad loves America" thing because I like American sports is hilarious.

My Twitter feed is full of posts from me talking about how America is a failing state with a broken political system and how their healthcare system sucks and how the 2nd amendment is a joke. I regularly get abused from my followers for "hating America".

But here on BigFooty because I think Russia was wrong to invade Ukraine somehow that's become "Chad loves America unconditionally!".

Gotta love the internet.

For invading Ukraine? Yeah... I would love to see you say that. Just once would be nice. 👍🏽

He literally stated that he doesn’t like Russia either but doesn’t think Australia should be involved before the Chessboard thread was locked.

Go look again. Did he say Russia, or did he say Putin?

I'll wait.

It doesn’t matter.
It does matter in the context of this specific conversation where we are discussing people's biases.

Apparently all my arguments are invalid because I have a supposed pro-USA bias, so I'm pointing out Simpin's pro-Russia/anti-USA bias.

Yes mate, but I don't live in a world of good and bad guys on stuff like this.

Both sides in this squalid ethnic border fight have done horrific things.

The question is why you choose to privilege one side over the other.

There are likely some perfectly valid reasons for doing so btw.

But I don't pretend history in that part of the world began in February 2022

Yes, you've adopted a position in US political/cultural wars entirely because you're so invested in the US world view.

As I said, read James on this stuff, far smarter dude than either of us worked it out.

It's telling how often you use "apparently" to then posit a claim nobody is making.

Nobody has said your arguments are invalid, just that you're so unaware of your bias.

Also, lol at "Simpin".

When asked to do something simple like acknowledge that Russia is bad for invading Ukraine, you respond with a literal "both sides" retort.

And then you act shocked and indignant that anyone could think of you as pro-Russian.

Why do I "choose to privilege one side over the other?" Because one side didn't literally invade a neighbouring sovereign nation without provocation. And yes, it was without provocation.

There's areas where I'm very biased.

I'm pro Ireland. Pro France.

The idea I'm pro Russia is laughable
