Hey ferball who won the BF mvp? Is there somewhere I can find the list of previous winners? Just curious as to how it lined up with the clubs BnF.

I wasn't gonna do it till a week or so, a few days before the Syd but the results are easy enough to work out so I put them at the end of the latest votes thread. I always mean to do a thread that compares all previous B&Fs to the Syd but never get round to it.

If you click on the little MVP icon next to the thread titles it'll bring up a list of every thread thats had votes and probably the Syd each tear as well. Just have to look thru and pick the last couple of MVP threads for each season.

To be fair to the courts, the situation couldn't really be reversed as part of the leniency factor was her current pregnancy. It's probably less likely that a male teacher has ptsd from multiple previous rapes either. It still leaves a bad taste in the mouth regardless.

I’m saying it’s different.

Obviously I’ve dug myself into a bit of a hole here and there would be extreme situations you could point out, but generally speaking it doesn’t really bother me like it would if a male teacher was having sex with a student.

It's really not.

I went to school in the 80s and it was a bit different back then.

The so called "power imbalance" between male students and female tachers probably didn't exist.

There was alot of social pressure on women to conform to gender stereotypes and there was alot of social control about women and sex. I think the term used these days is **** shaming but its deeper than that.

Also the idea of having sex with a teacher or other older woman was presented as something empowering for guys by society and that's how most of us thought of it. Plenty of us used to sneak into night clubs then try to pick up older women (without much success). It was almost as if the older women were interchangable and random bodies we got to use on our way to getting married and then ****ing around behind our wives' backs.

I dunno what its like today but that doesn't fit with the idea of grooming in my mind. Its almost the opposite.

I've known gay guys who were also into older men. They were happy to have sex with them and couldn't really give a shit what other people might say. There was a thing at the time where men having sex with 16 year old males was illegal but men having sex with 16 year old females wasn't. It was seen as a discrimination issue. (AS In "I was 17 out of school and couldn't **** my boyfriend but my younger sister could, or hers....")

The thing they mentioned was that sex was great but emotional manipulation and control wasn't... so anyway.

Rape is about power and the teacher, regardless of gender, has the power to stop it. Unless the 16 year old physically overpowers the 31 year old, but that is not what we are talking about.

Following this thread with much interest. Listen to Ligma - it is NEVER right for a teacher to have sex with a student, regardless of the gender mix. NEVER! I do some work at a school and can see the vulnerability of some kids if a teacher wanted to groom them. To take advantage of that power they hold, that influence, that trust is just never right. That's why most go to jail for such actions. I'm not sure how much of the 'it's ok' posts are just stirring the pot. Just put yourself in the position if it was your son or daughter. It is NEVER right.
