No. That black one is a strat. And an Ibanez S series shredder. Tele next, in green.

I have a surf green Tele.

Kochie now there’s a man of the people.. we might as well aim for sanderlands.

The only thing I’d aim at Kyle Sandilands would have a 7.62mm calibre.

The guitars are really just muck around models. I have a Squier standard stratocaster and a Squier telecaster. My son has the Ibanez (I just do the maintenance on it) and a Shechter plus a Samick LP copy and a random acoustic.

The strat is a 2003 which was the year my son was born.

That tele on your wall is a thing of beauty.

I don’t know too much about guitars but I remember seeing this guy on YouTube play Ozzy Osbourne’s No More Tears solo with a Stratocaster (I think) and it gave this INCREDIBLE bluesy type tone to it. The original is one of my all time favourite solos but this made it even better. Unfortunately the vid no longer exists. Is the Strat know to give a blues-type tone?

Was missing a ferrule to hold the whammy bar. Delivery from Hobart arrived 10 minutes ago and this ZR trem is now complete and dive bombing!

It's a bit inflexible for drop tuning but can be microtuned from standard to drop d. Another shredder, Schechter super Strat serves for drop C.
Double humbucker goodness

Strat and tele bodies imo not a huge diff in tone, more the pickup/pot arangements makes the difference. Teles have had a bit of resergence with the popularity of county/southern rock. Strats are still popular however power rock bands have declined a bit and they also compete more head to head with gibsons.

Depending on the set-up, blues, rock, country, metal, jazz.... A strat is universal.

And here's a nice story about another old one: This amazing 1956 Fender Stratocaster is possibly Australia's First

Reports a nutjob dressed in pyjamas mowed down some peds killing one in the cbd.
Terrible.

My wife and son were in the city when that bloke ran down peds a few years ago. They'd just got down to Docklands as it happened. A few years later another car ran over peds in Flinders St. One of those hit was a friend of a girl I worked with.

Awful.

It is! Fender 50s Vintera modified. I’d decided on a tele and played about 10 before choosing this one. It just felt right and sounded great.

Pity I can’t play for shit. I hadn’t picked up a guitar for over 20 years but decided I wanted to learn to play properly so went and bought myself an acoustic and a guitar and amp and have been taking lessons for a couple of months. It’s slow progress but there’s definitely progress.

It’s often possible to pick classic strat or tele or les paul guitars but there’s so much to a guitar tone. It’s the guitar, the amp and effects but most importantly it’s the player, it really is all in the fingers.

Good call on the players tecnique, reckon dicky dale or malcolm youngs styles would ring oit on any guitar.

Blackshadow just needs to take to his with a can of Taubmann's black paint to make it look like Joe Strummer's. Then it would be really special.

lol my five year old would love to get in on that.

But I’m happy with the current finish thanks!

The reason for the tele is just how versatile they are. The switch arrangement on mine allows both pickups to be put in series which gives an almost humbucker sense. The pickups are a hot vintage style and sound great.

I was less than 100 meters from where that happened on that day.
