The cynic in me thinks he gravitated towards the anti-vax/conspiracy stuff precisely because he knew his chickens were coming home to roost one day, and he thought this would provide him some cover.

But on the other hand I'm not sure he is intelligent enough for that level of forward-thinking.

Yeah I think he ended up on the fringes because he had nowhere else to go rather than as some 5D chess move.

There was rumours of him being a pest as far back as when he hosted big brother up late. Which really isn’t that surprising considering he was a breakthrough comedian at the time and the nature of the of the show.
He would’ve mixed two very different worlds.

That stuff he did to Andrew Sachs and his grand daughter was stomach churning and spoke to a deeply misogynist and unpleasant mindset.

Nah, he stopped using gear in 2002 no, that's when he started getting TV gigs

Fair enough. I wasn’t that interested in him when he was one of the biggest stand ups in the world to now when he started down the podcast rout.

I listened to the first couple of episodes a few years ago and found them quite boring, I vaguely remember he interviewed some famous British feminist.

So was Hunter Biden but I don't recall you defending him?

Why do you use other cases to make your points?

Earlier you brought up Weinstein and Epstein as a way to strengthen your take on Brand (and then didn’t answer the question I asked)

And now you use Biden (who just got charged btw)

I’m just saying it does look like a hit job.

He was never one of the biggest stand ups in the world. Extremely far from it.

It's called precedent.

He was never one of the biggest stand ups in the world. Extremely far from it.

He was a huge star in Britain in the 2000s, across multiple platforms and on HUGE shows.

And his relationships with the likes of Kate Moss meant he was massive tabloid fodder.

He even had a football column in the Guardian which was very good.

Maybe he wasn't a massive stand up, but there's no doubt he was an absolute A-list superstar for a while.

Oh for sure. No arguments about him being a big celebrity.

But he was never a big 'stand up comedian'.

I had a great aunt who traveled all over the world back in the 70’s and said Afghanistan was her favourite place.
This guy brought back mull seeds from Afghanistan, but he was living ina town and no longer growing when I knew him. Said sometimes the guys would make hash in the shape of Islamic religious symbols.

Said it was a modern country in Kabul and got increasingly wild the wilder the country got. In the mountains etc it was pretty lawless. Dudes walking around with weapons all the time. But he said it didn't feel like it was a bad thing or a dangerous place. Just that all these different groups of people walking around armed was quite jarring. Not threatening tho.

His show he did here sold out in minutes.

Is he still married to Katy Perry?

Edit- no he’s not still married to her.
