He can’t process thoughts quick enough to debate Trump. Trump fights dirty too, so it doesn’t matter if he’s right or wrong to the average person, they only care if he’s funny and nasty.

Biden is cooked. His disapproval rating is just under 60%. I think the Democrats will remove him before the election.

I think you're severely underestimating "the average person" if you think that's how they would assess this type of debate.

You've never dealt with someone with dementia.

Yes I have mate. It’s awful. My nan had dementia, she started to hate me for no reason, I wasn’t allowed in the house when she was there because the sight of me would make her angry. I have always wondered if that was because I wasn’t her biological grandson because she was fine with everyone else.

My neighbour had dementia and I helped his wife care for him right up to the last day of his life, I assume she couldn’t afford to put him in care or was too proud. He was a big man, 6’3ish and he’d often fall off his chair and his wife would come ask me to pick him up….it was very hard, like trying to pick up a 100+kg sack of wheat. Some days he’d be with it but often frustrated and abusive.

Maybe Biden doesn’t have dementia but he’s definitely in a state of cognitive decline. You only need to see speeches from him in the 80’s & 90’s to see how much he’s struggling. He’s not completely gone yet, but hes not well enough to be president.

I watched my Dad decline and die of dementia, Joe has slowed down but there's no sign he's got dementia.

What do you make of this vivek ramaswamy bloke chances LuvtheKangas ?

I don't watch much of the stuff posted about him. Seems to be a very eloquent talker (which always draws many in) with the usual MAGA-type content. But again, I mightn't have seen enough for this to be a valid conclusion.

I also think there's merit in the view that he is simply running interference for Trump. But again, on limited exposure to the issues.

Sometimes life just sucks.

I'm off to a funeral today for a good friend of mine who died suddenly. He collapsed on Christmas Eve and was found to have an inoperable brain tumour, he died a few days later. He was a fit healthy guy, 52 years old and left behind a wife and two older kids (around 20).

It really hit me hard when I heard about it.

I'm OK but sometimes life just sucks.

Collapsed and was found to have a brain tumour (after previously going through and beating that devil once)

I went to a funeral yesterday, of a 46yo former colleague who had an inoperable brain tumour but suffered with it for many months.

Was hoping 2024 would be better ...

We moved into a new house last week, just a few days over the third anniversary of signing the building contract.

Since then it's been one ****-up after another. Our landline was transferred to a different provider instead of just transferring to a new address.

We bought a robot vacuum cleaner that has now been returned because it won't charge.

The clotheslines can't get installed because the subcontractor doing the installation hasn't been paid by the supplier "for several months".

And the very expensive coffee table and kitchen table due to be dropped off today have been taken back to the store because one of them has a manufacturing fault and the other has a very big dent.

Happy days...

Built in 3 years, must have been a priority build :thumbsu:

So Albos put the supermarkets on notice for not passing on food price reductions,
