Do you understand what a 'pardon' is?

He doesn't need to be sentenced to pardon himself. He is literally already a 'convicted' felon. He can pardon himself. And he will.

"Come back to reality"? He literally campaigned on pardoning the January 6 rioters, and last time he was President he pardoned basically every one of his staff members who were convicted of crimes, including Jared Kushner's father etc.
The guy probably has printed up the conviction and stuck it on his wall.
It means jack, without sentencing.

You think Hunter gave a shit about being convicted, knowing his father would ultimately pardon him after the election?

Like... you understand that Hunter Biden also hasn't been sentenced yet, right DesertRoo?

Did you think that a 'pardon' only applies to people currently in prison? Because that's not how it works.

Hunter has been convicted but not sentenced.
Trump has been convicted but not sentenced.
Joe Biden pardoned Hunter.
A lot of pundits say that Trump will pardon himself.

Oh please.

RFK Jr is a guy who has said he believes people need to stop using ADHD and anti-depressant medication because they're not "healthy", but then turns around and says using heroin helped him pass college?

Give me a break.
I knew someone who credited heroin with helping them pass a university degree with honors with the best marks they could get. Same person told me years later that heroin was the best anti psychotic medication they ever had, and the safest/least debilitating to their body. They died at 50 of multiple organ failure.

Criticise him for being anti vaccination generally if you like, fair call, but that particular bit was off.

All jokes aside ferball I don't really judge people solely for having drug problems. Addiction is a real disease and it's worth treating these people with compassion and understanding.

However, in the case of RFK it's not the heroin addiction that's the issue. It's the hypocrisy.

Justices of the Supreme Court USA, a sitting president can't be prosecuted, you'll have a hard time even sentencing..
Chad nah bro me and me pundits think he'll pardon himself cause he need to, otherwise he's going to the big house..

This just tells me you don't have an idea what 'pardons' are actually for, and what being 'convicted' actually means.

Suggest you do some more reading on the topic before commenting further.

I shall only be compassionate to people I like...

Do you actually think the sitting president is going to pardon himself?

Yes.

Do you think Trump isn't the type of person to do it? Because he's such a high-virtue person? :D

Do you not understand that even without being sentenced, as a convicted felon he has lost certain rights in the United States? Convicted felons aren't allowed to vote. Trump is still allowed to vote because he's a resident of Florida and DeSantis has said he would allow Trump to vote. But that's not a permanent guarantee. Because he's a convicted felon, he's not allowed to own a firearm (obviously not an issue for someone with secret service protection). As a convicted felon, he's legally prevented from many government business grants/loans/programs/etc.

There's a whole range of things that being a convicted felon impacts.

Trump will probably pardon himself. And when he does, I'll come into this thread and remind you of it. :)

LOL, go back to the last page where the judge said the case is adjourned, both lawyers agreed for this to happen.
figure out exact what that means in relation to this case, its not going any further, they're pushing for the ruling to be overturned, that will happen.
What does that mean in relation to pardoning?

No, they aren't. In fact the prosecution has specifically said they oppose all efforts to overturn the conviction.

There's a big difference between 'not progressing to sentencing while Trump is in office', and overturning a conviction.

Again, it really seems like you're not understanding what you're talking about here.
Before you jump up and down saying you have no understanding, just read the motion to dismiss.

Do you really think a judge, any judge is going to pause it for four years?
get a grip

Yeah, Trump's lawyers obviously want to dismiss the entire thing.

Good news though; defendants don't often get what they want!

so you think they'll wade into a constitutional crisis area of law in this case?

It's the first time we've had a President be a convicted criminal. By definition, everything about it is a constitutional crisis.

Hypothetical whataboutisms 🤣🤣🤣

Alrighty then, instead of hypotheticals how about a real one?

Trump pardoned the father of his daughters husband, and then appointed him the ambassador to an important nuclear-power.

So much for "no more DEI, only merit!", hey.
