He was a crazy bloke though. I worked in a fishing tackle shop when i was young and when I started he put me in the bait freezer and sat on the lid for about 10 minutes...brrrrr....I had knives hidden all over the shop after that. Big Italian bloke worked as a bouncer on weekends. Looked like Dipper. He set fire to his truck?! I'd have been straight outta there![]()
this is so true it hurts. The appeal is other kids to occupy your kids, and vice versa.

Hey does anyone have any experience with catching rats? Specifically bait selection? This is something I have googled myself before so I'm after personal experience here because I think I have some smart rats. I read they can even smell human on the traps so I've been handling them with gloves and they still just won't go near it. Another complicating factor is we have a lot of natural food in the back yard from an Illawarra flame tree and an olive tree so whatever the bait is it has to be more attractive than that.![]()
I've tried peanut butter too for the same result. I'll give bread a go. Cheers!I recently trapped a rat that was eating my vegies. I used bread and caught him within an hour.
I read they liked peanut butter, and used some of that too, but he didn’t touch it. Went straight for the bread.
easy - just give everyone in your team slightly different information and sure enough when the story gets out, boom- you know exactly who the rat isHey does anyone have any experience with catching rats? Anyone got any experience with fish tanks for beginners? My 10 yo daughter wants a goldfish. Which she’s gonna pay for herself with her savings. The fish is the cheap part, the tank not so much. I’m trying to figure out if those starter kits with the filter and everything are the way to go. She wants it on her desk so it needs to be small.
I was going to say this then I saw he has already posted in it previous to this post. So I just went about my business. There’s a fish tank thread here:
The hangar fish tank thread.
Anybody out there running a home fish tank? Initially we got some fish to teach the kids about the cycle of life ( fish come and go pretty quick ) But I've kind of become a bit addicted to it. It's more work than I thought keeping everything clean and....alive but it's worthwhile. I look at...www.bigfooty.com
