Watch Person of interest. Takes about 6 - 7 eps to get going but from then on it's really good and I really only really remember maybe 1 - 2eps from then on through to the end of season 2 that I didn't like.

Well, they are both J.J Abrams shows, both have kinda weird concepts and take a bit to get into. I think Person of interest is more accessible and overall more enjoyable for me at least. I wait for that just as much every week as I do GoT/Breaking Bad.

Ongoing, the first 6 or 7 eps are MOTW type eps with little hints to the overall arc and then it opens up a lot more and it's really well done imo.

Both shows gave me a bit of a Lost (but not good) vibe.

The whole of Lost was a bad vibe. So did not deliver.

Yeah I thought the tail end was pretty bad but it was a really enjoyable ride and i'd love to be able to erase my memory of it to watch it again fresh.

Yeah. The background of the whole Cold War playing in the background and the various political machinations and restrictions that imposed is a very interesting side light to the whole story, too.
