Now normally I would subscribe to this theory but I started drinking gold on the mines where full strength was out of the question and the only choices were xxxx gold, carlton mid (balls) and that superdry stuff (not too bad). I tried the xxxx gold and found it to be more than palatable so one time on a break I thought I'd try the full strength stuff and was quite surprised to find it utterly undrinkable.

Just got an email from Essendon asking why I didn't attend the Country Game. Maybe because I live in the country and its a ****ing long way to go.

I know that it was just an automatically generated email, but perhaps they could have chosen a better round to do the survey. It really just rubs salt into the wound when the club send an email to members that live so far away why they didn't attend the token game that is "dedicated" to them.

Yeah, found that all a bit odd, tone could've been a bit better. Poll also needs "I had stuff on" option, other than work or family - if you're going to annoy people with this stupid thing, make it worthwhile/comprehensive at least. :/

It's early days, I think it's something that will build over time. I didn't have time to view the country stuff but it looked decent from afar.

Considering our onfield situation this year, it's probably not totally surprising. As Scezza says, hopefully it'll grow each year. It's certainly not as emotive as the other marquee games we play but has potential.

im probably asking the wrong crowd here...but

at what age is it not OK to wear a replica football jumper anymore?

i mean everyone knows you have to grow up to a team polo at some point...

can you wear a footy jumper with a 3 infront of your age as long as it dosent include face paint or a flag?

I reckon less.. 30 is the age the polo begins and the jumper gets mothballed.

Its like looney tunes ties... or any item of clothing that has a cartoon charactar on it, looney toons for men, disney for women.. if you are over 18 and you are wearing it, you have something wrong with you...

The footy jumper passes for another decade cause its a grown man sport.

Pretty sure dressing up like a campaigner is what football is all about. I'd draw the line at short shorts and long socks unless you're still in single figures, and if you're in a corporate box you should probably de-bogan for the day... Otherwise, meh.
