I've never driven in a 'right' country; only NZ outside Australia and even then only in the South Island, which is remarkably similar to driving in Tasmania.

That is, a lot of reasonably empty roads, some annoying tourists in hire cars who've clearly never driven on the left before, a lot of bends and hills, fairly frequent road closures due to landslides or snow, and plenty of stunning but distracting scenery.

well, they are comedians, its slightly tounge in cheek - but we can take liberties here!

its called the opie and anthony show - jim jeffories drops in now and then for a chat, its pretty funny!

one of the fuinniest half hours i heard was jim trying to explain cricket to them, i nearly spat my coffee many times... if not for the rampant swearing id link the youtube on here.

I imagine it's similar to Eric Bana explaining footy to two Americans in that movie where Adam Sandler plays the comedian that's dying.. can't remember what it was called, nor little else about the film tbh.

hmm i remember that movie, cant recall the name... funny people maybe?

first thing sandler said was, wheres all the black players?

but one thing i cottoned onto after listening, that i had never thought of before.

Cricket, 6 runs for an over the boundary - umpire two arms in the air.

Aussie rules, designed for cricketers to keep fit, a goal, 6 points, ump two fingers down.

Reckon this is by design?

6 is a fairly arbitary number no?

Wasn't there a Collingwood v Saints game on TV as EB is explaining the game by pointing to a Collingwood player and saying, "I hate these guys"...?

Yeah something like that. There was muchos swearing. Was probably the funniest part of the film actually.
must have been the funniest part of the film because, like you, I can't remember anything else about the story line. Assume Sandler got the girl (and Saints got up in said game, Bana would have insisted on it.)

One for the green thumbs. I have a couple of awesome looking lettuces growing in my garden, except I'm not sure if the brown spots are meant to be there or not. I have no idea what variety they are, they are grown from seed but I can't get a hold of the person I got the seeds from.

Anyone got a clue what variety they are? The plants certainly don't look distressed or diseased but I've only ever grown Cos lettuce which didn't have this problem so wondering if they're in the good-to-eat basket or the ditch-it basket.

Was a weird film, he was a comedian who became terminally ill so became unfunny and bitter, I think? Not regular Sandler fare

Feed it to the kids and see what happens?
That's kind of the problem. I'm happy to eat it but others in the house eat with their eyes. Too much lettuce for one if I still need to buy different ones.

Some do have spots but the ones I saw online don't look like these ones
