Just to divert slightly...

I visited my childhood home yesterday, havent seen it for near on 30 years

Jeepers!

Talk about a powerful experience... I had been pining for my lost youth, I tell you what, it's almost a tangible feeling of reliving it just being back there, you can feel it.

But there was this weird dynamic, I was looking at all these things that were my world, through my now adult eyes, was very weird...

The epic high brick fence I learnt to balance on.. is only 4 bricks high , the bush I had 3 rooms in, is about 1 meter square..

Anyhow I recommend it if you have moved on and not seen your old digs for decades, very grounding experience

Whenever I used to travel back to Melbourne I'd drive through East Keilor to check out the original family home. After my last visit some 10 years ago or so I decided to stop. Everything was as you say Howard.

Things that were huge to you as a kid are tiny. The drive way that went down to the street on an 10% angle was no where near as steep as I remembered it. The new owners had rendered the brick home and then put up a giant front fence. I heard they were burgled a couple of years earlier hence the security measures. It was way too weird for words and all my memories could no longer be linked visually. Hell the local quarry we used to play in is now a fixtured housing development. I still can't believe people live in the bloody quarry!?!?!?

Our most recent family home was a California Bungalow & was perfectly located in Richardson st Essendon has since been knocked down and set of shit looking units have been put up. Bloody disgraceful looking things. Anyhoo...

Went and saw my grandparents old house when we were in London. We spent a lot of time there as kids, and I remembered it as a towering, tottering gothic mansion. Strangely, it's just a regulation brick two-up, two-down now. :p

Makes you wonder about those who stay in the same dwelling all their life. Does it change your dynamic? Do you end up like those housebound coaches who fail coaching the club they played for without leaving first?

Lol, my childhood house is also in East Keilor.
Since leaving, I've moved more times than I can remember, including overseas for a few years.
Now back in EK, about 100 yards from the old house.

Anyone have much experience with lymph nodes?

For the past couple of weeks on and off Ive had a pinchy nerve neck pain on my left... But also a hard pea size thing in the neck vein..

Hurts like a bitch, real grinder pain with the neck twinge.

But usually 2 days on 3 or more off, I can't find the pea when I'm not sore.

I'm lead to believe nodes can become fiberous when fighting big infections.. Ive been a little sniffly but wouldn't say I've been sick.

Hmm hard not to worry

Anyone had?
