Are your parents Catholic? You're the product of a Christmas/Eve boink. I'm saying that as a product of New Year's inebriation.
Do you always back-calculate birth dates and see whether they align with festivities?

I've just realised I may be the fruit of a St Valentines bonk. How sweet :drunk:

(Still certain on no evidence, or even reverse evidence, that my parents have never done it)

When you're the product of one and you notice a sudden glut of birthdays and what not around late September / early October, the thought does pop up. Could've been a coincidence I guess... but I like the theory.

I was the result of a holiday to Fiji, and my mother enjoys telling anyone that will listen

Awkward.

My sister got married on a beach on South Coast NSW to an American. His mother flew over, which was nice, but then interrupted the ceremony to tell some rambling story about the significance of the setting given that her son was conceived on the beaches of Florida - scented by the Everglades - against the hum of insects and the cries of bobcats etc. I was grateful to the hermit crab I spotted near to my feet because I could try and retain eye contact with him for a bit.

Was she that poetic about it? ... because that's a pretty majestic description.

Meanwhile, I'm going to a karaoke bar tomorrow night, so I'm pre-planning some songs to sing while the Missus is out (yes, I take my karaoke that seriously) any one have some suggestions?

If you're talking proper karaoke bar you have to do Land Down Under. The asian chicks are disproportionately impressed by anyone who can do that song.

It sort of was poetic - impressive really that she straddled some kind of canyon between lyrical and too much information.

On the other matter, why not challenge yourself and do something like Eleanor Rigby? I love that song.

Dez! is boycotting the board until Terlich gets a game.
He knows surely about our very limited influence on the selection committee?

TBH he does some sterling work outing campaigners on the D&T board. I'm in awe most days.

You are my kind INXS. You need to fully commit though and get your shirt off and tip jugs of water over yourself

If you're a crap singer (like me) then sing stuff you don't like so you don't ruin good songs. Otherwise just sing crowd favourites like "you give love a bad name" and "Macarthur Park"...

My brother was the product of my parents' honeymoon, while my sister was of their anniversary

Tom Jones needs a roll out (Delilah is awesome if you can sing a bit - I can't). Point of Karaoke (and the jukebox) is to get the whole place singing.

Local had karaoke on last night. I have a splitting headache because no one could sing (also, beer), but I got my one song in: Piano Man. Only good thing about it was the condescending look I gave the lady when she told me the lyrics would pop up on the monitor. Two fights and nearly a third as well (don't think it was karaoke related). Good value for a Friday.
