Yeah Panos and the old Pioneer plasma panels are first class.

Its only because they were so heavy and required alot more complex components the manufacturers went to LCD panels as soon as the tech was available. Cheaper to make and throwaway leading to more sales.
The plasmas ended right there and then. (2012)

I had a Panasonic plasma, loved it. It died and I managed a fix with the help of Dr Google, used a pair of tweezers to remove a couple of capacitors, got another couple of years out of it before it died for good. Got an LG Oled now which goes alright but still miss my plasma.
