Is it at all possible to have a discussion on the Cricket board that doesn't devolve into a Victorian whingefest about selection?

Is there a cricket equivalent of Bigfooty somewhere out there on the interwebs? Would help balance out the state biases I suspect

You mean like Bigfooty's sister site Bigcricket....
http://www.bigcricket.com/community/

But I think it would be a lot of bigfooty posters over there so not sure how much balance you would get

No. Everything must be about the non-selection of Maxwell, Wade, or the hypocritical assassination of Shaun Marsh. BTW, Marcus Harris is a Victorian now.

Wade, lol. Struggled to reach double figures during his last stint in Test cricket, after being brought in to replace Peter Nevill to improve the batting. Oh, and to "add a bit of mongrel" to the side. Just what we need.

He's got a better test average than Maxwell, so that's important ;)

On the plus side they have at least moved on from spruiking Cameron Shite

They're oddly forgiving of a player who moved to Tasmania, but not before consistently batting himself above Glenn 'The Great One' Maxwell in an effort to catch the eye of selectors. Because, you know, his batting was the aspect of his game he really needed to work on.

What has happened to Cartwright after basically being on the cusp for a good 18 months. Actually its been a problem for a lot of WA cricketers. Bancroft and Whiteman 4 years ago had one huge year but then did nothing for a while (Bancroft found form few years later and whitman now struggling with injuries). Turner and Cartright couple years ago dominated and now both are struggling to make runs at Shield level. Agar has had the same problems as well.

IMO its whats holding WA from winning the shield.

For a minute I was excited that WA could field both Marsh Bro's for the rest of the shield season but Australia tour India for ODI's and t20's in feb.

That said we probably get this side for a couple games.

Bancroft
S.Marsh
Cartwright
M.Marsh
Stoinis
Turner
Inglis
Agar
Richardson
Coulter-Nile
Kelly/Behrendorff

Most of them went on tour with the test side and didn't play a match for 2-3 months.
