City's current squad is the greatest team the EPL's even seen, it was a fair effort to get as close as we did last season.
True, and of course the CL makes it a very good season regardless. To not win a trophy last year would have been pretty deflating.

What a title race though, never seen anything like 2 totally dominant teams blitzing the field like that.

Well not in England anyway, the Spanish and Scottish leagues on the other hand...

Scottish league got even worse after Rangers financial troubles. For contest Celtic are going for their 9th title in a row now.

If you've every wondered why people are Radical Sports Socialists, Scottish football is a good case study. All football really, but especially in Scotland and Spain. Its great for those at the top, but the lack of equalisation measures means dozens of clubs making up the numbers forever.

It is what makes AFL so great by comparison. The draft and salary cap do at least make things a level playing field for all teams in theory, how the clubs draft/develop/trade players and run their clubs is a different kettle of fish.
