What are you using? My Garmin watch takes about 5km (cycling) to wake up to the fact my heart rate has elevated, and then I see it top out at around 180bpm. I can't attest to it's accuracy but for me it's more about individual analysis, comparing historical data on myself using the same piece of equipment. And jerking off over calories burnt.
Some Huawei thingo. Band 5?
I am coming from a low fitness base so maybe I just run out of gas and can't sustain intensity. It just seemed odd that different activities on different days all seem to peak at exactly 160bpm

If you can't get it over 160 see if someone else can take it for a squirt. Then jerk off to their (your) calories burnt.
why does mine say 78?Basically, jerk off and see if you can get over 160.

Either way it’s an overestimation
I went down a Twitter rabbit hole related to this once. There are people who believe that the evil world controllers HAVE to tell us what they're doing. It's part of the bargain- they obscurely let us know what's happening, and if we fail to spot these signs then they go ahead with our tacit approval. It becomes our failure for not noticing.

The fictional novel tells the story of a Chinese military lab that creates a new virus to potentially use as a biological weapon during wartime. The lab is ironically located in Wuhan, China and the made-up virus is called Wuhan-400.
The various govts* don't seem to be in any rush to lock down or close schools, so I wouldn't be too worried personally.
* Except Tasmania.
I'm not going to make it back home before WA had a quarantine lockout am I?
