I hope ODN, msr, Chief, Funkalicious, Fevola, et al haven't been washed away in our flood disaster.

Unbelievable images that you usually see in disasters in Third World countries, not your own land and so close to a major city.

Think MSR and Funky are down the Gold Coast so not under any immediate threat, I am South of the CBD and half way up a hill so not concerned unless this continues for a long time.

Fev has saved everybody at rehab by volunteering to drink a million litres of the brown liquid on the floor.

Chief is the immediate concern. Suburb has been closed off, near
the Brisbane River which has gone over its banks in several places. Has his priorities in order though. Has taken the PC upstairs, and gone back down for the family. ;)

Given the volume of water, you'd be best advised to get your aerogard ready to repel a possible outbreak of mossies.

Yes mossies can be a problem around here after rain.

Chief's suburb has since been advised to get to higher ground, so I hope him and his family have got out safely.
 
Thats cause the sub stations are not to far from the Brissy river which is bursting it's banks. :eek:

The thread on the GD board on these floods is very good and i echo the sentiments of others when they hope all is well and the QLDers pull through this terrible time.
