Nothing like a good shoot-em up.

The strategy and gameplay involved in titles these days is fantastic. Especially the ones that include team objectives.

Nothing better than being able to take a building apart, grenade by grenade while the enemy are trying to hide in a corner, or picking off a guy from a few hundred metres away with the sniper rifle.

Actually, there are things better than this, but it is fun.

I really liked the original Halo.

I really liked the original Halo.
The original was great. So was Halo II.

I haven't played anything since then though.

To think I originally bought my Playstation in 1997 for around 700 bucks.....then the PS2 for about the same 4 or 5 years later....

Sony saw me coming.

Fresh on the recent revelations of the crack appearing on the Qantas plane, comes this disturbing image from a grounded Boeing 737.

Anyone going to see The National in Melbourne early Jan?
Or know if the 'seating' is actually seating at the Palace/Palais.. can never remember which the one in st kilda?

Didn't know they were coming out. Mmmmm interesting.

Their first show sold out quick smart, I've tickets to the second show, 10th Jan.

So does anyone know if "seating" in the Palais Theatre, in St Kilda, is actually seating.. the tickets are numbered but I've never actually 'sat' at a gig, can't imagine I'll be spending much time on my butt anyway.

A seat is a seat in the Palais Theatre, and if you stand up or wander away from your seat the security come and yell at you but once you are resigned to sitting (a strange experience) it is alright

Yep, it's seats proper.
It is a theatre after all.

I doubt I'll even bother finishing COD Black Ops.

Got real pissed off at it last night. You can't take your time its all, its basically run thru it as quick as you can regardless of how many kills you take along the way.

Now that I have just seen the new Need For Speed, think I will be swinging to that for a while...

Interesting Hank....they hyped COD up for so long, and it's left quite a few disappointed.

On a different note, last I saw of Nesbit and his bro was in HJ's on Swanston.....the big fella wanted to kick on, but I was too far gone, and needed solids STAT!
I somehow managed to avoid being stabbed for standing in the shorter queue....apparently the threat was real....well, from one guy at least. Douche.

Should we send out a search party for the underscored one?

I'm thinking of decking out the Mustard Pot like this:

Cool story about a 'perfectly preserved conversation pit from the 70s

haha, I like it!
I really enjoy BoingBoing updates, such an excellent compilation. I regularly forward things I find on there to the rest of my friends.
the invisible fire, the 6yo on the skateboard, the merapi eruption pics as well as the guy who made the wooden perpetual motion machine. lol
Your sig, Grizz, is the 25 word or less story that rocked me the most, too, awesome. Though "There had been rumors from the North for months. None of us believed it, until one night we started to kill our children too" was a close second.
