Has the Vic Pol operated Air Ambulance had to make an emergency landing at the Docklands North Wharf heliport?

When I last looked there was no major teaching hospital suddenly built in Docklands. Royal Melbourne and Alfred both have perfectly good helipads to take the chopper.

The chopper is normally based at Essendon which is only 5-10 minutes by air up the road......

questions questions questions...

Curious. Perhaps it was N24 off to the Mahogany Room?

Elvis' doctor's prescription. (It's fake by the way, but probably not far off the truth. Incidentally, it's what they're also including with every 2011 Essendon membership.

Weevil posted this on the GD Board. It's so freakin' scary and improbable that it deserves another airing here.

That is unfreakin believable. When you see these types of clips it makes you realise how much you take somethings for granted and don't give a second thought to how they are maintained or operated.

Wonder what the pay rate is for a job like that

Did you get dizzy watching it? I thought the couch was tipping.

I can't even comprehend what that guy did as it's so far beyond what I consider possible he may as well be traveling at the speed of light.

The guy isn't even hooked up to a safety line for the majority of his climb. Only when he 'takes a rest'. How about when he straddles the beacon at the top? Truly horrifying.

The French Spider Man - Alain Robert. Weighs about 50kg

Rock climber who turned his art to climbing skyscrappers a few years back, first saw a documentary about him a decade ago, this guy makes my hands sweat everytime I watch him climb a tall building without any safety harness.

I reckon going up would be the easy part. Imagine trying to find your footing going down.... holy crap

Eighteen workers died in 2006 from falling from a communications tower in a Tower Climber Deaths profession that has approximately 9,800 employees that work on elevated structures primarily for the cellular and broadcast industries - although broadband activity is increasing throughout the country and wireless internet service providers' installations are adding to the current busy workload.Last year, ISP Planet explored how much WISPs pay for such technicians (and their insurance). Climbers often charge $1,500 or more a day plus additional insurance fees; one climber notes that he bills out at $295.00 per hour.

Still would not do it. There has been 140 episodes of House and about 135 of them start with someone becoming ill without warning and falling to the ground, usually while at work. so you could still fall off no matter how good you are at climbing.

The more shocking fact is that 38 binmen died on the job in 2006

I was just in an elevator that dropped a floor... it wasn't much fun.

It was quite weird.

Anyone playing COD Black Ops?

Picked it up on Sunday and a bit dissapointed in it to be honest.

Much prefer Medal of Honor. Am I being too harsh on it?

PS: Might also be time for a new video card as well....

I've been monitoring it via Youtube up to it's release, and it's just not up the standard I thought it was going to be.

I'm still an avid Bad Company 2 player, which you'd notice is run on the same engine as MOH.

I'm looking at picking up MOH too, but I hear it's a bit BCII-lite.

You only play on PC Hank?

Pretty much G.

Haven't played BCII so can't comment on that. ALL I will say is that you won't be dissapointed with MOH - AWESOME.

Got a Wii as well but only really use it for Mario Kart and the misses uses it for the Wii Fit thingy.

Hank, seriously BCII is the game that MOH is modelled on, and a lot of people playing it are saying they'll be going back to it as MOH has slightly disappointed them.

Check it out. It's an awesome game, especially online.
