That's fine , every one has an opinion, if taken a lot of interest in what went on in NYC as I flew there two days after the objects brought down the towers, anyway maybe we can chat about this over a beer one day
Someone once told me ' you are entitled to your own opinion, but you are not entitled to your own facts'.

If you debunk a conspiracy you are either part of it or a sheeple apparently.

Sorry just can’t let this pass through to the keeper. I was watching Bruce mcavaney on whatever football show it was at the time when it cut to the shots of the twin towers with no commentary for quite some time.

I know what I saw, as events unfolded my family were concerned enough to hit the phones as my cousin was a senior executive with a well known company whose headquarters were in that cluster of buildings. Thankfully he was fine, he also owned an apartment very close to the twin towers.

Your entitled to your opinion but you must know I have never heard a word from anybody who was there or with any credibility that would support any wild theory, what we saw is what happened. Personally I don’t care what other people think but I’m going with my duke and Stanford educated cousin who was actually there over a wild conspiracy.

It’s the same rubbish with the moon landings, I was alive when people died in that program in the lead up to Apollo 11 and more than one country was involved in the space race so now we have collusion between countries that at that time were on the brink of war, Occam’s razor.

The only relevance between 9/11 and this forum is that our season collapsed just as dramatically, but with only one casualty...

Well id love to hear your version as yes you were correct fuel wont melt steel :p

My understanding is that it was actually the fire that melted them.

It's such a stupid conspiracy to suggest that they flew planes into the buildings to serve as decoys for planned demolitions. Why not just say the terrorists took a bomb into the building?

I can accept that the US knew the attack was coming and let it happen to help sway the public into supporting another war for oil, but the idea that multiple government agencies all collaborated for a conspiracy more convoluted than a d grade movie is a bit much.

The problem is the government in the US has eroded peoples trust over a long period and now no-one has absolute faith in them. I'm a bit agnostic about those kind of conspiracies, I doubt they are true but you never know. The one thing about the moon landing even is that they have superior technology now and they don't send manned flights there. If they did it it was an outstanding achievement for it's time.

The moon landing was the result of the cold war, by fighting for international influence they funded 4.5% of the national budget to NASA in the 60's, it is less than .1% now I believe. There is no political need to find NASA and with the limited budget going back to the moon wasn't a priority because there was not much to be gained.

The first question I ask people that doubt the moon landing is why wouldn't Russia have been watching? If Russia looked to the skies and the Apollo rocket wasn't where America said it was, why wouldn't they have kicked up a stink about it?

The reason the conspiracy has lasted this long has nothing to do with its plausibility or likelihood of truth, but because you can't prove a negative.

I remember waking up early to check the close of Wall Street and watching it on TV.

Horrific and the most depressing thing I have ever seen.

We had a friend move to Manhattan a few days before it happened and could see it from her window, she called us and told us to look at the TV, it was a completely surreal event. It was like it was happening and you didn't want to believe it could be real. Somehow the announcers didn't seem to give it the gravity it deserved, there was some weird banality in the way it was presented.

Luckily Seb Ross wasn't an astronaut on the Apollo missions or they would have landed on Mars by mistake...

I'm not at all invested in it, I think they probably did get there, I'm just not ruling it 100% out either. I couldn't care less if they got there or not in the past, there is more interesting things they are doing in space now any way.

Yeah, I think the conspiracy is much more likely something like that. That the gov agencies let it happen to get engaged in a war....if there was one.

Fox News didn’t they built their entire programming around it ...got 10 years of mileage from it.

Virtually guaranteed they were the Government mouthpiece ...

I meant live, it was somehow lacking the gravity it seemed to deserve.

It was horrendous and surreal at the same time, it went from shots of planes hitting buildings without commentary for a sizeable portion to people jumping to their deaths. What was there to say? How do you describe that?.

Shame he buggered of to Carlscum. Loved pera
That was the bizarre thing about Robbie's meltdown that day at Carlton!
He and Val were very close mates and of all the Carlton people Robbie decides to elbow to the head it was Val! lol

After that though i still have no doubt what made Muir lose the plot completely
Was that tosser of an umpie Smith who kept following him around and getting in Robbie's face
When initially he was just throwing a bit of a tanty at himself, but NO Smith being the over officious tool
He was turned Robbie's frustration into a major spectacle for all the racist stereotypes to have a great big laugh at!

On the day remember feeling so sorry for Robbie....He was an easy target!

PS Couldn't help myself Diehard!

Robbie was a freak but had the shortest wick.
