I never got why people found Shorten unelectable tbh.

Bloke fought against work choices and was immense during the Beaconsfiled mining rescue, Only thing i can see was going against Rudd.

He instigated the NDIS as well. While that was superb politics, turning a non job (disability was State run) into a national issue, I found him to be charismatic and intelligent. He related well to people with a disability and came across as sincere. You could see he was highly ambitious but that came across in a positive way, you could see he would push reform through. His rep in Victoria is quite bad though, so none of that means he’s a nice person.
Rudd on the other hand had a terrible rep in Queensland. He worked for Wayne Goss and alienated a lot of people. Some of that would have been by people disadvantaged by his reforms but several others I met and trust, were consistent in their views on him.

The federal communications department has refused to release details about $30 million in sports broadcasting funding given to Foxtel, because it says documents about the deal "do not exist".

Its funny how many people don't realize how back woods Australia is in the world.

And kept the news part of his business that doesn't make money apparently. Now I'm not a smart guy but why would he do that for no real gain. His interests here aren't in media, they are in mining and petro/gas. Why would anyone with those interests meddle in governments? His total worth is $17 billion give or take a bit, an extra billion doesn't hurt. We just gave him $10 million for womens sport out of the ABC budget, gave $30 to Foxtel for no reason, and gave him $882 million because we made him pay tax once and he wanted it back with interest.

He's a parasite and we are a fat rabbit to suck the blood out of. We used to pay $225 million to the Australia Network and instead gave the gig to Sky news so that the impression of Australia outside is of Fox.

I think he does okay out of his old country.

Someone pointed out that she was responsible for selling a $750 million power station to private bidders for $1 million and now the federal government is going to step in and pay for it to be converted to a gas powered station on our purse. They did that here too, sold our utilities because they are expensive to upgrade, they use them until they are ****ed and walk leaving us to build a new one anyway. Politicians should all be sent to Manus Island, they are like a roach infestation.

The new trams(the Alstom X05s) can and do run on the L1 out to Lillyfield for maintenance. There's connection between the two different lines at Capitol Square.

They do corruption really well haha, I felt sorry for her today she’s obviously used to a bit more respect.

There was a point at which someone put it to her that perhaps he was using her, well obviously but the connotation was that’s why he hooked up with her. At one stage she made that going green I might blub face then swallowed a bit of bile and fought back quite well.

The Liberal version down here would be the X'Trapolis trains on the Frankston line. They had the idea it would have been a quick thing to do. However the XTs weren't cleared to run on the Frankston line. They had to ensure the signalling would be visible(Different driving positions) and make changes. When they did finally run they had to have thier power limited a bit because the crossings were not set up for the much faster trains.
