Any thoughts on the President spreading already debunked conspiracy theories? Is that just him exercising his legal rights?
If they are already debunked then that is irresponsible.

Random Discussion - Last night I couldn't sleep and ended up finding a documentary on the 2019 rubik's cube world championships and speedcubing.

Interestingly one of the best in the world is a Victorian - Feliks Zemdegs.

Make of it what you will...

And if he has a history of it? Should that make us distrust claims he makes?

At some point should we become skeptical of claims he makes? Or is every claim treated differently and we have to wait for courts to decide each claim?

(i.e. the 2016 primaries were rigged. Obama was not born in the united states)

You can distrust it if you want. I didn't make up my mind on election fraud based on what Donald Trump has said, by the way.

Yes and what was actually going on there ? Had the state already been called ?.

If I’m watching that at face value it does need an explanation.
The video was from 5 days ago.

These ballot drop boxes which were locked on November 3. They were then collected on November 4.

"Mike Sanchez, a spokesman for the L.A. County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) told Reuters via email that the ballots shown in these videos “are valid ballots and will be processed and counted in our Official Election Canvass.” The ballots, Sanchez said, were being picked up by RR/CC staff.

“All vote by mail ballot drop boxes were closed and locked at 8 PM on Election Day. Ballots from all boxes throughout the County were picked up the following day,” he added.

Information on the California Secretary of State's website (bit.ly/36pCyVl) states: "Vote-by-mail ballots that are personally delivered to a ballot drop-off location must be delivered no later than the close of polls at 8:00 p.m. on Election Day."

They do it here too, once the percentages are going a certain way they just call it. You see governments concede with only a percentage of votes counted. If they decide the mail in votes are tracking at 75% democrats and they are already leading the walk up votes they feel comfortable calling it for example.

What like Hillary being provided with the debate question in advance.

I‘ve listened to Russia, Russia etc from chuck, Nancy, maxine etc and how they had proof blah blah. We now know where that came from, who paid for it, fisa warrants, the muller investigation and what did it amount to.

So yes outlandish claims are damaging as trump well knows but what about calling out both sides. Hunter Biden and the Biden families dealings are no joke but apparently that’s off limits. Let’s face it a free and fair press that holds both sides to the same standards is essential, we don’t have that and haven’t for some time. Don’t even get me started on social media.

Who doesn’t want fair elections, good government, the rule of law etc. Anyway it’s a storm in a tea cup imo, this will go on until it’s legally played out and the georgia senate seats are decided. Then we’ll see how the Biden administration conducts itself and watch with interest at the midterms.

Just for the record I’m skeptical of just about everything and if I’m interested enough I do my own research and ask questions of people who have expertise where possible. I’m not on social media yet I’m often sent things that are just insane, yet these sites have millions of followers. I’m dead against cancel culture for several reasons, one being that rubbish and conspiracy theories grow in the dark but are usually easily debunked in the light with facts and open debate.

There you go, in the clear light of day it’s perfectly fair and correct.

Once again the waters are muddied by the every vote will count, every vote will be counted.

It‘s perfectly fair and the correct process is being followed but you can see how given the first statement it’s easy to spin that picture into something that smells.

Whataboutism: "the technique or practice of responding to an accusation or difficult question by making a counter-accusation or raising a different issue."

Also known as the "tu quoque logical fallacy" which "attempts to discredit an opponent's position by charging them with hypocrisy without directly refuting or disproving their argument."

Its different in Australia though.
We know exactly how many votes will be collected in each electorate.

So if Casey has 100 000 people and 90 000 votes were posted in a polling booth, we can't expect more than 10 000 postal votes.

In the USA they are only guessing how many people will vote.

last paragraph

The common thread running through all of these is that Trump's lawyers are regularly offering a significantly more watered-down version of Trump's claims about rampant voters fraud - because they, unlike Trump, actually have to substantiate their claims. And as these exchanges show, it's a rather thankless task that can rather quickly land them on a judge's bad side.

Love Krystal and Saagar but they sure like to be contrarians

is there a similar clip of him complaining of Trump cancelling all of Obama's appointments? Cancel culture only happens on the left? :D :D

Oh please we’ll be here until the next election at this rate.

If you can’t look at both sides or question the actions and decisions of everyone then something is very wrong imo. What is it you fear that makes a balanced open debate so undesirable. Constantly projecting and shutting down others doesn’t seem healthy in a true democracy or for that matter on a forum.

We even have posters on here talking about a coup and the military, I’m out you can hop back on to social media and find some like minded people who’ll validate everything you say without questioning anything.

Agreed, one of few good resources.

😂 slight difference between being fired, and being doxxed/punished professionally for ever more.

Cancel culture would definitely skew left I’d say 🤷🏽‍♂️

Cancel culture goes both ways. However I would agree SJW's love to cancel, but then again so does Trump himself.

I exercise cancel culture in my daily life. For example I cancelled Foxtel last year as I didn't want Sky News on any platform. I cancelled the Age as I thought it was crap etc. We can't just generalise with a slogan.

I do agree that doxxing is appalling on any side. Doxxing is definately skewed to the right in my view.
