How much does the Aussie test team suck. They bowl India out for a low score and you just know they will still **** it up. There was a minute where being ordinary was novel, now it's getting hard to watch.

Rome pizzas are the worst. Like a Savoy cracker. Too thin.
Each region does it differently.

Sicilian pizzas are quite good if you can find them. Fazios used to do them really well when they started up. Not so much these days.

Pizza Napoli in Russell St did OK ones many years ago.

California Pizza House chain does decent ones in the USA.

There is also the place in NY Italy district that was the first ever pizza restaurant. Can't recall the name but bloody good.
Pizza Napoli was a favourite of mine back in the 80’s and 90’s, plenty of good pizza places I don’t mind zanini in Elwood.

I will have to try it.

Me 5 minutes ago: Time to start the weekend by catching up on our pre season

Me now: Well I wonder what Lebanese lesbian vegan pizza would taste like...

Fishy?

We're off to Hanoi and Sydney via CDG in a week for the Xmas hols, hope they've stopped blocking the roads and runways by then.

All I'm seeing locally is a lot more cops and firetrucks driving around. The Gilet Jeune protests are big news here though, loads of cars have a hi Vis vest on display on their dashboard in solidarity/fear.

Hope you get out soon, it's like a decent into anarchy at the moment.

There's an authentic looking one in Hallam, never anyone in there cos its twice the price of all the Johnny Boys and crap around, except a few old italian looking guys sitting at a table. Either that or it could be an authentic front for the mafia.

Just looking to get a general view of where memebers from this board think we will end up on the ladder come seasons end.

I personally do not see us as a top 8 team and would put us between 10-13.
And although we have been very sloppy against Carlton in a praccy match, my prediction is not purely based off it.

Don't get me wrong guys, I would love to see us in the 8 I just can't see it happening with all other teams "improving" as well.
A bit late, but we were worse then I thought.
Loved the optimism though..

Richo has taken us as far as he can. He is extremely one dimensional, his game plan doesn’t consistently hold up & can’t be implemented by the players & he isn’t getting the best out of his talent. If his public speaking is anything to go by then team motivational speeches are another issue. He’s a bore. This view is not new nor is it based off a practice match. I’ve been consistent for the last two years on this subject. What we’d give for a Ross Lyon rn....

Posted March 2.
I was eaten alive by the Richo sympathisers.

Do you people just enjoy simmering in your own misery or something? Considering Football is literally an entertainment hobby/passtime how about a bit of ****ing optimism for once? It gets really old being surrounded by a bunch of misery guts on this forum all the time.

Hey I’m not miserable I’m a happy guy! Be more happy like me & stop being a grumpy campaigner!

Optimism? We finished lower then 95% of people expected us to finish.
Can’t we enjoy the calls we made?
I am a little more optimistic this year as I feel we really needed last year to happen, we were getting far to ahead of ourselves as supporters and players.
Time to move forward from here.

Billings plays his best footy as a high half forward. A less productive/damaging Buddy Franklin. Despite their vast size difference there are some stylistic similarities.

Acres has all the tools to be our best player. He can outmark ruckman, outrun midfielders & is deadly in front of goal & hardly misses. Unfortunately he’s a victim of being too versatile, as such, is utilised to fill gaps & hasn’t been allowed to settle in the one position.
Richo must have read where you said that Acres can outsmart Ruckmen & thus rolled the dice & played him in the ruck....

I blame you!

So where should he play at least 70% of his footy then? Remembering its a team game so he must be replaced by someone just as good and he must replace someone he will be better than. I actually think his best position is where he plays now. A utility. A BJ type. He has had a fair career in that role.
Obviously in the ruck :D

But is he talking about how we were last year, or in recent years, or how we'll be this year, with Stuv looking like having his speed back (which makes a massive difference- especially if we're now able to free him up more, to do less of the grunt work), Seb now being much more outside, and with Gresh and hopefully Acres likely to spend a lot more time through the midfield and wings this year?

Dunstan off his first full preseason also looks much more sharp with his movements than he has so far in his time with us and Steele will hopefully start to show more of the speed he showed in combine testing, now that he's got a full preseason under his belt. They reckon he's spreading more, more dynamic and getting to a lot more contests now that he's a lot fitter. Then there's one or both of Clark and Coffield potentially added to the mix. Armo also had WAY more run and carry to his game the last time he was full fit and relatively injury free (it's where he got all those extra disposals from), so it will be interesting to see how he goes in that regard.

Unless things go pretty awry, I imagine our midfield will be much more multi-dimensional this year and significantly better than it was last year- when it was still good enough to get us to 3rd for clearance differential and for our forward line to have the equal-4th most shots for goal, from the 2nd easiest spots.

I really think you're listening to too much SEN or whoever it is and not thinking enough for yourself and this is one good reason why you shouldn't listen too much to those who don't follow us closely.

Billings has only set foot into the middle of the ground a handful of times for us since his debut that I'm aware of and I reckon there's a good reason for that. It's not his go.

The one that Dermott probably should have suggested is Jade Gresham, who I imagine we'll start to see a bunch more in there this year for exactly that reason, like we did last week. Next would be Blake Acres, who had 15 disposals in a quarter the last time he spent a quarter in there and who brings something different to the table, with his extra height and ability to break lines and tackles.

well colour me shocked gringo was right. for all the shade you threw at him and your long analysis of "listening to too much SEN or whoever it is and not thinking enough for yourself" his assessment was spot on. whilst yours was so far off the mark it wasn't funny.

perhaps ease up on the flame because their opinion doesn't line up with you "analysis" at the time. it appears gringo has a better eye for identifying where the side is at.

Maybe wrong place to post this, but I own (well bank owns about half) a unit in Melbourne.

I have purchased a house in regional Victoria where we are going to move next year. I am planning to rent out the unit - not great time to sell when the market is flat/dropping and gives some flexibility to move back if the move regionally goes belly up.

The unit could do ideally do with painting inside. When does the property turn from PPOR to an investment? I presume when you move into the next home, but not sure if it needs to be actually technically available for tenants at the time. I believe painting is maintenance and therefore can be tax deductible for investments.

I'd ring your accountant, I'm not sure on that.
