Thanks gringo, for the moment we are cut off, unofficially the road over Hotham is closed, of course the road to Bairnsdale has been closed for weeks, on a happier front if it gets bad the school has been opened as an emergency refuge, it was closed by the CFA as they couldn't guarantee peoples safety, an appeal to Dan Andrews has got it opened, Tim Bull has turned his phone off and is uncontactable, personally the road to town is covered by trees, if it's bad I won't be able to get there anyway. If the worst happens I'll saturate a couple of wool blankets and lie under them in the dirt with the dog.

Also if a front comes go inside your house and have a room that has two exits, one directly to the outside. If the fire front comes it will hit one side try the other end of the house.
