I'm not bad, I have to be to use it for work. Just trying to find a way to randomise a string of numbers that equal a set total number. For instance I want a list of 21 random numbers between 35-45 that equal 800.

Eh, not sure why I am explaining it to you anyway :tearsofjoy:
Randetween any use?

So I now know eight people with covid, 1 has died, one about to die and a running mate just admitted to hospital.

This is not 'just a flu' people.

Yeah, someone I know had their grandpa die of it last week, it's getting a bit serious out there. Stay safe out west Joffa, it seems to be worse out North and West sill at the moment. **** I hope all thee lock downs start to work soon.

Yep, not just a flu.

I’m fit and healthy, had it back in Feb-March when it was rampant here in Sweden. Still get short of breath and fatigued now a few times a week. Almost everyone I know that has had it is the same but, because we are all working from home, we are able to manage it with the lack of commuting and ability to have a lie down if fatigued helping us immensely. If we had to be doing the office commute and dealing with stresses that it brings, we’d all be stuffed and on sick leave I reckon. Feels like when I had glandular fever as a 20 year old.

One crazy thing to report is that in early April, when I finally felt over it, I had a Zoom call with my Aussie mates and a few too many beers and wines. This culminated in what normally happens: a few cigarettes. The weird thing was, I woke up the next day with my lungs feeling 100% for the first time since having the virus.

So I read up on some articles saying research is showing nicotine could be good for the virus. I now have a couple of pouches of Swedish nicotine/tobacco “snus” which is very popular here (a kind of chewing tobacco but not as messy) twice a day and it has really helped.

It’s really not something you want to get, no matter your age.

This year has been terrible with the fires and coronavirus and everything else . Don’t want to scare people but the first Mad Max movie was set in 2021 which is next year . Not that far off the mark the way things are going .

Yeah ended up just using a random number generator between 35-45 and tweaked it a bit once I had the list so it equalled 800.
I used =RANDBETWEEN(35,45) to generate a random number 21 times in a column, then used the IF function to assign a value of 1 if the sum total equalled 800 and 0 if it didn't, then used the IF function again to write the words STOP in bold red letters if the value of that row ever rose above zero. I then extraoplated the formulas to a whole range of columns. You just hit the F9 key to regenerate the cells until the word stop appeared and at least one of the columns would have random 21 numbers totalling 800.

On average you're hitting the F9 key 60-80 times to find 21 numbers that equal 800 though.

This is so helpful. Thanks for that mate. I will need to get my head around using it, will make my job so much easier. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

No problems mate. There is only 3 or 4 unique formulas in the whole table. Let me know if you want me to detail them in a PM.

If it wouldn't be too much to ask?

I think you can upload the file too via one of the posting tools on here. Might be easier?

Just change the last one to 800-sum(A:aX) and throw away the negative ones.

That doesn’t always work as 20 random numbers between 35 and 40 may already be above 800.

I will try to work out how to send a file. Won’t get done tomorrow though as I have a full day out of the office. I’ll try for Friday.

It's all good, I wouldn't need to run this thing until the end of the month anyway :thumbsu:

Thats why you throw away the negative ones. :p

Otherwise you could add a pretty easy macro to your method. So you press go, and it stops when it has 800.

30 degrees for several days now. I'm struggling, especially at night. It was 25 last night and I hardly slept a wink, even with a fan on full.

That's mental, the UK is turning tropical.

VB FRAGRANCE

The big, bold scent is crafted with ‘premium perfume oil’ along with the ‘essence of Australia Super Pride hops’ used in VB itself. A refreshing combination of bitter citrus and icy aromas finishing in sweet hoppy accents.
“Thirst is a scent that every man can get around. It will make you wanna sniff your mate after a full day on the tools.”

I wonder if it can hide the smell of a big night on the beers, dim sims and garlic kebabs?

It appeals to me like the fragrance of Sunday Morning Pub Carpet would.

Don't laugh, now they have stopped making Commodores, Vic police are ordering a heap of 1970s Fords and leather jackets to see in the apocalypse.

Jesus that ch 7 celebs from other states pretending to be concerned about Victoria is so fake and cringeworthy.

For a start 7 have been undermining Vic health and the govt since the second wave started.
Secondly we know the rest of Australia don't give two shits about us in Victoria, you have all made it clear over the years and all you care about is that Victoria is 30% of the Australian economy and Melbourne 25%.
The smultzy piano music with B stars telling us to hang in there and ' we are all with you' is so boringly and disingenuous but typically channel 7.

My computer is playing up.
Might of sped up my thoughts of upgrading it.

Won't get better value for money.

Agree, built my last few PCs with PCCG. Very good service.
A few times for specific parts they haven't been the cheapest, but only a couple of times has it been enough of a gap for me to order a single part from somewhere else.
