Lock up your bongo vans.

Don't holiday on remote farms owned by old ladies near beaches frequented by motorbike gangs either. That's just asking for trouble.

Won't get better value for money.

Had a laptop that was playing up. Stuff like discreet graphics that started making it run hot, so i had to run the inbuilt graphics in the processor. Keyboard messing up.
But my wife left , so i could get a desktop. ( laptops are neater ). Got a low profile HP with an i5 on ebay , a steal at $200 along with great monitor, keyboard and decent speakers.
Replaced the hard drive with an SSD. Expanded the RAM.

Now i have a GTX graphic card that will fit it ( low profile ) if i take out the useless tv card. Graphics costs as much as the computer, but i think it's probably close to the gaming computer they guy who sold it was replacing it for now.

I only buy Apple computers so I don't have to know anything about computers. You just turned them on and they work.

not for $200 they don't :p
Apple are absolute big corporate assholes, slowing down their phones to make people buy new ones, because they know they have customer loyalty.

Super disposable, crap for the environment. No tax paid.
The epitome of Corporate greed, yet somehow they retain a good image.

You can easily get a pre-built plug-n-play PC with all the peripherals and save a bunch of cash - or one that will outperform a Mac for the dollar!

Who is the target market for Shane Warne aftershave?

Is it us? I don’t feel like it is but just want to know.

I used to have PCs back in old days. These days I doubt I could turn one on. Apple are a campaigner of a company but as far as an intuitive interface goes they are so much better. The only thing they did that was brilliant was to make computers super simple to use for plebs, in the old days PCs were for nerds who had enough knowledge to make computing a specialist thing. They kept some of that interface that kept computers exclusive but have tried to make its more intuitive over the years.

Apples are pretty robust and the only thing they don't do as well as PC is the limited scope to upgrade components due to space issues of the designs. Old school PC boxes have heaps of room to work in and are easily accessed. You should be able to get 7 to 10 years out of a Macbook pro if you treat it well and aren't expecting to run the latest packages for high end graphic design, editing etc. Free upgrades on their software and operating systems is actually pretty good as well.

iPhones have always seen my kids through as hand me downs as well. They get about 5 years before being too old for anyone to want to use them but ever seem to do anything wrong. I have only had one MacBook that shat it's self after upgrading the operating system. All the rest have been good except when I have spilt liquids on them. :(

Fighting VB for the bogan market?

Agree, built my last few PCs with PCCG. Very good service.
A few times for specific parts they haven't been the cheapest, but only a couple of times has it been enough of a gap for me to order a single part from somewhere else.
Scienceworks and the pumphouse at Spotswood has the Ministry of Justice sign hung up on it [emoji15][emoji15][emoji15][emoji15]

It’s good stuff. You can drink it if you run out of grog. I’ve never understood why a bogan if you drink vb. Anyone care to explain?
I think it's just a defense mechanism for people who don't like the taste of actual beer to cover up their faux blokeiness by drinking 'craft beer'.
I did a favour for someone recently and they sent me a pack of craft beer - white rabbit etc.
The pish tasted closer to a Bacardi Breezer than beer. Last favour I ever do for him.
If you don't like the taste of standard lagers then just order a southern and coke and stop stuffing up pub taps and deal with whatever inner turmoil that causes for you.

Anyone that doesn't care how they smell?

For anyone that does give a rats arse, Larrikin by "Mt. Romance", business name changed to "The Sandalwood Shop" is remarkable value for money. Made with Australian sandalwood (santalum spicatum), grown and harvested in W.A. designed by Bertrand Duchafour, manufactured in U.S. Virtually unknown in the wider scent community.

I have no affiliation but am a fraghead.

Its not posh enough for the non-bogans.
Personally the thing that's put me off it is that the lo carb beers don't leave me feeling so bloated.

but....

My daughter got a job at Dan Murpheys and i am very happy with the free, albeit slightly dented VB. ( they divvy up the dented stock ).

Sorry to intrude, I happened across Josh Battle's wikipedia page, and saw this humourous note, seems to have a good sense of humour.

He is the younger, taller and better looking brother of Nick (Ned) Battle who is only a microscopic, 166cm.[2]

Must have written his own page :D

Personally have gone through Centrecom and Scorptec, current rig is from the latter since I coudn't be bothered building it myself.

Must have also been the week for it, have been looking at upgrading my 780 to something more current, wondering if there's going to be any major loss running a 3.0 card on a 2.0 slot for the double price gap between options.

What does that mean?
Was a reference to the location the original Mad Max used for their Ministry of Justice.

Hubnester don't know if you are from Melb so apologies if you know this, Spotswood is a western suburb of Melbourne on the bay in the shadows of the West Gate Bridge.
Scienceworks is an interactive science museum located at the old Power station Pumphouse.
In the original movie there is a shot where you can see the Westgate Bridge, that hadn't opened but was completed.

Don't laugh, now they have stopped making Commodores, Vic police are ordering a heap of 1970s Fords and leather jackets to see in the apocalypse.
Above should have been for this quote, now wonder you were confused [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]

Oh, haha... I get it now. Haven't seen Mad Max so went right over my head.
I recall we took a bus trip to Melbourne to go to the science works in primary school. It was pretty badass haha

Mad Max is a great example of a film you could shoot on an iphone if you had enough money to pay a few bikers.
: Some of the cars destroyed were personal vehicles by the movie makers.
: Some of the biker extras were real bikers, they had to ride their bikes down from Sydney ( they had been in the movie "stone ")
: They didn't have permits for a lot of the "stunts" and things they did on the open road. They chose quiet roads and made sure no cars were coming.

Its also really interesting to see some of the spots out west that are urban sprawl now.
