I always found him to be very good and a teller of some interesting stories. Ex cop? Ex someone important at the club back in the day?
Anyway, I remember being very taken aback by a post he made here. He ripped into someone & it included racist slurs and threats. It then morphed into a very reasoned, well considered post. I got the impression he'd lost the plot, got very angry, typed what he felt and intended to delete that part but forgot to. That or he was seriously unbalanced...
Anyway, you shouldn't have to deal with crap like that George, I hope you're OK.

I could say this kind of stuff comes with the territory of being a mod on here but I think we can all agree that racism and threats of violence shouldn't be tolerated by anyone.

He didn't mind putting it up on the forum most of the time. I liked debating old Drake, he was like someone's crazy drunk uncle, we had some good debates though. He claimed to be a psychologist that worked at the club and now for the federal government and an ex cop. He used to be on SS and he had it in for gay people too. It's a bit of a worry if he does work in that field and has such extreme views. He got a bit Q anon by the end of his time on here. Hopefully he's okay. I thought he might have made a come back as another poster but haven't seen them for a while.

I know exactly who he is. He told some white lies or even big lies. And I certainly can’t talk but drinking heavily and posting is nearly as bad a drinking and driving. Well it obviously isn’t but both don’t mix.

Well I can’t comment on that because my name was responsible for some on ss even though it actually wasn’t me. As I said don’t post and drink and don’t leave the internet open on your phone when you pissed mates are around.

It is and it is the truth. Watching my nephew play cricket with some mates and I was giving shit to the mod on ss but within reason. 20 minutes later I was banned and then I read the pm’s. Luckily I wasn’t jailed.

Conservative governments can be good when times are good but we haven't had good governments on either side for a long time. It would be good if we could get a leader with some idea from somewhere. The Libs had a civil war and got rid of the moderates and are now stacked with corporate shills from the minerals council and fringe nutters with religious bias and pro fossil fuel bias.

My family were always Country Party conservatives being big land holders with business interests. The way the Nationals have gone where they ignore farmers for big corporate farms and mining has lost all of them left in the country. It's a real shame. The old conservative model is long gone, they were the old school steady as she goes, volunteer for anything types. George Christiansen and Barillaro are the opposite to that. Gready grubs with their morals for sale.

As I posted earlier they've already started cutting under the NDIS and I imagine similar cuts are happening elsewhere. They don't seem to get the concept that workers on low wages recirculate the money, that in turn increases demand and gets things moving again. It's not rocket science.
Tax cuts to the rich only work if the recipients spend the money. They probably won't spend & opt to save instead resulting in zero shift in demand or even falls.
I'm not particularly fond of either of the two big political parties. There's been way too many decisions over the years that favour special interests, with jobs in industry directly relating to portfolios being just one example. I really wish the media would start using accurate descriptions like corruption rather than benign descriptions like pork barreling.

They threw us into our first recession for 30 years. Who kept us out of recession in 2009?

They also pissed the mining boom up against the wall, and we are now close to a trillion in debt. When they came to power in 2013 we had 200 billion, and they called that a debt and deficit emergency.

The duration and conditions of detention caused migrants and asylum seekers —including children —measurably severe mental suffering, including by experiencing anxiety and depression that led many to engage in acts of suicide, attempted suicide, and other forms of self-harm, without adequate mental health care provided to assist in alleviating their suffering.

These conditions of detention appear to have constituted cruel, inhuman,or degrading treatment (“CIDT”), and the gravity of the alleged conduct thus appears to have been such that it was in violation of fundamental rules of international law. This conclusion –including regarding the relevance of victims being subjected to CIDT –is consistent with jurisprudence from other international courts and tribunals and human rights supervisory bodies regarding the level of severity required to establish a deprivation of liberty that falls within the intended scope of the crime provided under article 7(1)(e).
