I’m not sure what’s available in Vic but there’s some very active men’s groups in Qld. Worth a google if you haven’t already done that.
It’s really tough but you just have to stay as calm as possible and preserve your energy. You’re in a marathon not a sprint. A heavy punching bag worked wonders for me to get rid of the anger, which is of no use at all in these situations. Guilt’s no use either, so don’t let that eat at you.
Yes, the kids are important but you’re only of use to them if you keep your sh*t together. Time takes care of many things.
The law is more balanced these days but you will need good representation unless you’re particularly gifted that way.
Good luck mate, you’ll get through this.

That's a real shame for your kids. She's making life tough for them. It's hard to imagine not seeing the damage her actions could do to them.

Wish me luck.
Off to family court tomorrow to start the process to get my kids back. Been 14 weeks with held now . despite no family issues ever especially with the kids I’m now just in the last 3 months a risk to the kids , violent and sexually coercive to her wheN We were together for 16 years.

it’s horrible what can be said about someone with no truth or evidence and kids are kept from their loving dad and there’s nothing that can be done other than sit and wait and cry and follow the process.

I've split with my wife and with Covid and all , i've been in a bit of a mozz for a year. But i'm just really thankful that we don't have the animosity. We still meet for coffee sometimes , and both of us have the kids ( who are getting on a bit now ) interests at heart.

He wasn't "part of the Aspen Nine" , and probably didn't have any say in whether his dickhead guests isolated like they were meant to when they got to Australia. Its been in the media that Abercrombie was tested for Covid when he returned to Melbourne and self isolated until he got his negative.

You could tell, to push for a fast hearing you have to be seriously influential. Public health surely outweighs constitutional assessments. Otherwise seatbelts, smoking, drink driving etc are all against the constitutional rights of Australians.

Australia is unusual in that we don't have a Bill of Rights so I really don't understand how they attack it anyway. Unless all states of emergency aren't legislated to override constitutional laws. Could open a can of worms if he wins, which is unlikely anyway.

Like most millionaires they know that government lawyers will take the cheap out and pay costs and an out of court settlement to make people go away. They would rather pay $4 million than risk losing $40 million. That's why guys like Clive Palmer do it. It's a money making scheme. The longer they hold their ground the more likely it is that the government lawyers crumble.

Its unbelievable - 32 years till they need it, acquire it for 10 times its current value on the basis of one valuation from a valuer recommended by the vendor. fmd!!!

If it isn't fraud, its incompetence of the highest order.

The Feds have the power to compulsorly acquire land - and its designed exactly for this situation - completely independent valuation process with appeal rights. Worst case scenario would see the Feds paying no more than double the current valuation and vendor to continue to use it until it was needed.

This sort of s*** annoys the f*** out of me - even it was just incompetence I'd still send them to jail.
