Trump has angled against the media because he wants his supporters to here directly from him, completely unquestioned. that's why he wants to remove any trust in the media or journalism. where Trump can spread blatant mistruths without any repercussion. that's the end game.

you need strong and diverse media. that does not mean a channel to spread mistruth.

that's their political system. it's flawed. you have senators literally die in office in their late 70s and 80s.

Trump is THE worst thing we have seen happen to the states in my time. it's unbelievable the depths he has dragged them down and the damage he is doing. but people just seem to brush this off as "trump speak" or how he is or simply forget the long list of stupid shit he has done and it's only been 4 years!!!

Biden is more passive and has a good working relationship with the other side of politics. with a whole bunch of unfounded conspiracy theories thrown in.

if Biden is considered racist, your views on Trump sure would be interesting. Trump is only 3 years younger for what its worth.

One can’t form a sentence. That’s not hyperbole, he is a sick man.
One has done literally nothing of worth in near on 50 years in politics.
One is outwardly racist.
Biden is so blatantly a puppet, thriving on corruption.

That’s not to say that Trump has his shortcomings, he certainly does. I also hate the blinkers the mainstream media and therefor a lot of the public employ when it comes to politics.
The won’t discuss the bad Biden has done, they won’t discuss the good Trump has done. One way streets don’t sit well with me.

100% mate. Elections are turning into popularity contests or "what my parents historically voted for". Most people dont even bother to look up their preferred parties policies.
Saying that, Trump has absolutely done the environment no favours in his time and has brought statesmanship into some of the lowest levels ever recalled. I wouldnt be voting for him unless the other guy literally wanted to enslave me - Dont blame me, I voted for Kodos.

plus his political analysis was "Trump will win dont listen to fake news. i look at the data."

what he really means is i like trump and my gut feel tells me he will win. it's not based on data at all, so i dont know why he said it was based on data.

even his statement on Ohio is flat out wrong. the point they were making on Ohio wasn't that Biden would win Ohio, it was because of the trends there it would cross over into Michigan and Wisconsin and it was good for Biden, which surprise surprise WAS TRUE!!!!

there seems to be this wave of people who are finding a space online to build a media personality claiming the main stream is wrong or dumb and they're above their intellect. but then the stuff that comes out of their mouths is just out right wrong. but they're trying to present this image they're one of the intellectuals.

way i view the presidential election is you are voting for the statesman or spokesperson. they're going to be image of the whole country. maybe with 2 or 3 big ticket items they will push.

but if you are voting for policy, that's the party position.

you can have the best presidential policies but unless they have two houses or can negotiate with the other party, it's for nothing.

Boomers still being the majority electorate and being the main people in their respective parties would be my guess.

In 2024 republicans would be smart to try and get Andrew Yang to run for them.

Taxes & criminal reform mainly. But in this specific choice between Trump & Biden it's more about why I don't want Biden. After half a century one would think we've seen all we need to see from Biden. He says he is going make all these changes - why didn't he do it already? He talks about racial tension and calls Trump racist - who is the one that passed the crime bill? If people don't agree with Trump for whatever reason fine but surely you can see why people would vote against Biden.
