I think he is able to say whatever he wants. Heaps of celebrities endorse political candidates or parties. Their were a lot who supported Trump. If people want to listen to them, then sure go ahead. I don't think people generally take too much notice but they are able to say whatever they want.

Kanye supported Trump. I don't think many people said he should just stick to music. Most just said he was an idiot and ignored him. But he can say/do whatever he wants.

We aren't discussing racism. We are discussing his comments relating to blacks being hunted by police - this statement is factually incorrect.
