Yes it definitely will affect Americans earning less than 400k because businesses will cut staff to keep profit. Businesses will move back overseas because of the tax hike. Not going to help the average American at all.Says nothing actually. The tax cuts will be taken off anybody earning over 400k. The average American salary is under 60k. Wont affect 95% of workers. Only the top 5 %.
It is a sliding scale like ours, not all salary is taxed at the highest tax bracket.
the 1.8 trillion taking off the mega rich will be used for infrastructure which creates jobs.
AOC will never be more than a congresswoman because she is for the people not corporates. The Dem machine will keep her and all progressives down while boosting ordinary machine apparatchiks like Clinton and Biden.
And they wonder after four years of Trump 230k dead from a pandemic, a racially divided country and a crashed economy why they can barely scrape over the line in the Presidential election, if they do, not take the Senate, and consign a prospective Biden administration to a lame duck until at least the mid terms in 2 years.
What a joke of a party, what a joke of a democracy, what a joke of a country.
You're worried about the wrong thing my manCorrect it is my take away. Because remember, for every nasty, terrible, embarrassing, un-presidential thing this man does and represents, the democrats BARELY defeated him.
Surely policy debate or what party will be better for the country is a complete after thought right now.Yes it definitely will affect Americans earning less than 400k because businesses will cut staff to keep profit. Anyway, happy to agree to disagree, nothing anyone is going to say on BigFooty will change my mind and vice versa.

I want a fair election.Surely policy debate or what party will be better for the country is a complete after thought right now.
Surely the immediate concern is quelling this attack on democracy and proper process?
Theres more at stake here than just one election
Whats not fair about this George? genuinely curious mateI want a fair election.

) But this is the type of argument politics should be about, an exchange of ideas on policy. This whole situation is only happening because of how close the election was. You're worried about the wrong thing my man
Its like worrying about an annoying leaky tap whilst ya house is on fire.
This right now. Right here. Is the biggest test to American freedom and democracy we have seen in a long long long time.
If they fail this test we are all f’ed.

Didn't say it was unfair. Didn't even say it was rigged. Said I want a fair election. Also said the swing in votes in unusual but that's my opinion.Whats not fair about this George? genuinely curious mate
Agree mate, America is ****ed, they need a much better process to vote - almost a vote reform. I would say for one that people probably need to verify their identity before voting in future. Understand with 330 million people it is difficult but they can do better than this. Nobody can argue against this being a disaster.I think we can all agree the joint is f*cked )both America and Bigfooty) But this is the type of argument politics should be about, an exchange of ideas on policy.
We may be polar opposite on policy in some areas and have common ground on others.
This complete polarisation of politics is appalling in my view. You don't agree with me, you are a RWNJ racist white supremist fascist, I don't agree with you I am a ... I am too foolish to read the site rules, communist antifa terrorist.
It would be funny if not so ridiculous. Actually it is very sad in my book. I once had a different view on the Adam Goodes situation, not anything outrageous, but immediately was piled on by anyone who didn't like my view and was immediately branded a racist.
It is so sad that you can't voice a moderate but unpopular view with out being labelled.
So you shouldI want a fair election.
No good at all.So you should
Two documented cases of voter fraud - by Republicans
By Chris Zappone and Michaela Whitbourn
US President Donald Trump has been consistent in his messaging that there has been widespread "electoral fraud", as his Democratic Party challenger Joe Biden says he is on track to win the election.
Thus far, however, there have only been two reported cases of dodgy votes, and both were on the Republican side. The Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania, John Fetterman, a Democrat, tweeted on Thursday (US time) that "our only instance of voter fraud" was a Republican who tried to vote for his dead mother.
Nevada’s Clark County registrar Joe Gloria also reportedly told a news conference on Thursday (again, US time) that the only instance of voter fraud was a Trump supporter who tried to vote twice.
How do you feel about how Trump is handling this right now? And what does he need to do moving forward?Didn't say it was unfair. Didn't even say it was rigged. Said I want a fair election. Also said the swing in votes in unusual but that's my opinion.

Your last point is spot on and no coincidence how many posts I've had to reply to from the group that vehemently supports the other side. For me it's not even so much pro Trump as it is anti Biden and my opinions on candidates aren't by how many nice things they tell me but what policies and actions they take.
Again nothing is going to change anyone's mind here. I had free time yesterday so decided to engage with the discussion but I can't really be bothered anymore.
This whole situation is only happening because of how close the election was.
For everything you say about how terrible and awful he is, just remember that he ran a better campaign than the democrats did.
Huge unemployment, corona virus devastating the country, the fact that he's a global embarrassment and they still couldn't put it beyond doubt
If you don't like what is happening right now, then your focus should be entirely on why the election was as close as it currently is.
I'm not sure there would be as big deal made of it if these swing states had adopted practices like in other states (Florida) so that postal votes could be counted and released on election day.Didn't say it was unfair. Didn't even say it was rigged. Said I want a fair election. Also said the swing in votes in unusual but that's my opinion.

This hyperbole is why it’s pointless discussing politics in 2020.Because he hoodwinked yokels into thinking he is all about them.

. he didn't understand apparently.
I would point out that the $400,000 figure is for personal income taxes. It worked out to be a 12.4% Social Security payroll tax for wages above $400,000.
Corporate income taxes were to be increased to 28%.
Notably, both increases would still see America have a lower company tax and income tax rate compared with Australia (although taxes do diverge throughout America).
It is also very interesting that while voters in Florida voted for Trump, they also voted to increase the minimum wage to $15. I guess that shows that more voters in Florida support democratic policies even if they don't want the democratic party.
