It was ****ing outrageous policy. I had an aunt that got caught up in it. She had her husband get MND and he couldn't work while he was waiting to die, she got a carers allowance and worked once he died a couple of days a week in a supermarket because after being a housewife pretty much her entire life she was unqualified for anything else but needed to pay down a mortgage that she'd had to redraw on while her husband was sick to pay bills, medical expenses and equipment. Years later she gets a letter saying she owes like $20,000 of something, she got some pension money after he died at the same time as working. She'd done it all through her accountant and nothing was illegal about it or not entitled to.

She's retired and old now and has her house and car and not much else of value, her kids had to financially help her because they froze her pension. They sent third party thugs from collection agencies who threatened her and told her she was going to jail for not paying. They nearly killed her through stress, she's an old lady now. She fought back and spent a fortune on legal bills over the principal of it despite most lawyers telling her to just pay it. She knows she did nothing wrong but hadn't kept records from years in the past and all the burden of proof was on her. It was absolutely idiotic policy and just cruel. I hope she gets a huge payout from it, they were ****ing arseholes. They had phone services that did nothing and kept sending new demands all the time. It was like they were deliberately trying to send people over the edge.

I don't support the republican state legislator choosing electors and disregarding the votes of a state.

That was a really lousy system and hard to reconcile for people doing their best to report earnings accurately.
