Hi everyone,

Look, I know I'm not perfect, and am susceptible to the odd melt about selection. But I also know that so many of you are my mates. We talk about footy, and share something special, somewhat indefinable in that. But I also know many times some of us faced hard moments in our lives, and this is somewhere we've found honest compassion, where we felt safe to write about things that can be hard for people - especially blokes - to talk about. Places like that can be hard to find these days.

No, I'm fine. It just occurs to me that I don't tell you all enough that I appreciate so many of you, and care about you. I've prayed for plenty of you over the years, especially when you've been going through something tough.

Sometimes, we all just need to stop, and tell the people who matter to us, that they matter to us. They might not realise... And even if they do, they probably still like to hear it once in a while. Well, you men and women matter. You matter to me. Thank you.

Great message Perse, I'm not churchy but I can tell a good guy even from a computer screen. You come across as a genuinely good person and if the world was full of more of those it would be a great place. Even when you melt you still don't come across as a dick, that's a pretty good achievement. I can't hold myself to that standard. Getting on here is a pretty good release valve for a lot of us and it's always been supportive even if we don't always value each others football opinions.

I think everyone on here is a campaigner and cant wait to drink with each and every single one of you WHEN we win the flag in the next couple of years. [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3][emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]
It will be a catch up for the ages!

Tears will be shed.

Voices ruined.

Theme song sung adnauseum.

And all washed down with gallons of grog.

Can you imagine the party if St.Kilda won another. It'd make the Bulldogs celebration at the Western Oval look like a small funeral.

I'd have to book a fortnight off work
Week in melb
Week at home to recover

I'm heading over in two weeks with the family , does the no. 96 tram get out to Moorabbin and Linton street or is a bus needed . And do the boys train there during the week at all

Is that half hour out to Seaford . Is there anything to see at Moorabbin . Merch shop or museum or anything

Half hr to drive to Moorabbin
Hr out to seaford base by car, but dfo Moorabbin is on the route pretty much, so you can always keep the mrs happy and take her shopping
We go there most times we are over

Not sure on museum cabinet, there's not much tbh, someone else might be able to confirm if the cup in the cabinets been moved to seaford
Last time I saw it was at Moorabbin a few days after the GF loss in 09.

You can chuck all this in google maps and it'll plan the route
Melb cbd, to st kilda football club to Dfo Moorabbin.
Make a day of it

If there's any mid Dayish training the sat before the Tigers game on the sun rd23 the above is our plan

You're a good egg Perse. :)

I'll add to this by saying that since leaving Melbourne in 2008 & moving to Sydney, I don't have any footy banter with people face to face anymore unless I'm home to Melbs for catch up with my old mates. I get my fix on here & on Twitter. My wife is always asking why I'm on this 'BigFooty' & I kindly let her know that I need my footy fix, & although I know none of you & regardless of your opinion, I love the banter. We all want what's best for our club. You all mean more than you think you do to others. :)

Cheers campaigners ;)

So, I just spent the night in safe mode tying to figure out why windows wouldn't boot, turns out Windows corrupted the drive for the OS for some reason, since I found errors, then didn't find them, then repaired the disk anyway because screw you microsoft, then had to restart 3x and hey presto, back in windows as it booted.

All this because we had a power blackout and emulated Adelaide last night due to the wind.

But my god is it so slow as things wake up from hibernation....

Great museum...

1 cup.

1 satellite dish from 2004 wizard cup.

37 wooden spoons.
Embrace the cup. Feel pride at the cup. Love the cup

Just remember to keep your hands joined behind your back, and maintain a stern look on your face, when observing the satellite dish [emoji52]

Read in the paper recently where PwC or some other mob were saying to knock the lid off the Dome to expand for bigger crowds.

Stuff that!

I'm in the pub across the road camped under a heater and I'm still bloody freezing. If the game was at Optus Oval or similar I'd probably stay in the pub.

I may have become soft but I don't give a fig. Just don't touch the bloody roof!!! [emoji51]
