It really is kind of shocking how poor our building standards are in Australia. A european home built here would probably cost a quarter to heat and half to cool.
Yeah agree, my best mate here is a builder formerly of Melbourne and he builds houses here in Sweden now. Reckons he has learned so much and would do things very differently if/when he builds places again back home. A lot of it isn't more expensive either from what he says.

thanks mate ... im spending one day and night in Tromso before we fly up to Svalbard.. ive heard Tromso is a pretty special place so im really keen to check it out we are staying in the interesting place in Tromso called bed&waffles basically its a B&B but their thing is each morning on your doorstep they leave you a jug of waffle batter and sides.. each room has its own Waffle iron so you make your own waffles for breakfast ... how can you say no to that :)
when we are in Iceland we are going to the blue lagoon thermal pools to soak in the warm waters as it snows so that should be incredible ...
im an amature photographer so im really looking forward to this trip ..
Wow, sounds like a great trip coming up, just for the waffles alone ;).

Iceland is a photographer's dream. My other half loves her photography and took some great stuff there, it really is such a uniquely beautiful place so you'll find so much to capture in your time there.

Have you been ice fishing?
Or is that just a Canadian thing?
Never tried it myself, I'm paranoid about going out on the ice a bit I must admit. I live near a big lake that freezes and they have a website that monitors and updates the ice thickness levels daily but the thought of hacking a hole in the ice has me a bit spooked. Maybe I'll get an experienced person to help me out as I think it would be a lot of fun.

Already were when I was still there. Sister's BF was a Camry driver. Anyway is it still ok to discriminate and joke about car choice back home?

Own a camry and you get what you deserve. Seriously though the Volvo was loved by the elderly because they were tanks, Camries the same. They are usually owned by students or old folks because they go for ever. There is a bit of a racial connotation though because the Indian and south east asian students particularly love them.

Down the coast for some chill time and I’m zero from three for long blacks.
Although I have received three vases of coffee coloured hot water....
Apparently good coffee ends at Lorne.
One from four.
Things looking up.
Chocolate and orange Christmas pudding with Cointreau was in fact traditional pudding incorrectly packaged.
Not happy Jan.

Thigh to waist deep in untouched powder all day today boys. Not a JC reference, just a nice way to put a terrible Christmas behind me. If any of you are riders who love the deep but don't like crowds, can highly recommend Madarao. Large areas are completely ungroomed. No need to go back country which is gr8 with so many avalanches here.

Sounds nice after the heat we have been having in Melbs.

I wouldn't mind hearing your opinions of an article on www.theroar.com.au , "An analytical approach to roster analysis".

http://www.theroar.com.au/2017/12/23/analytical-approach-roster-analysis

It's what I have said a few times this season. Our list is more in the range of teams like Brisbane but Richo coaches the shit out of us to play above our station. That doesn't man we won't at some point have a huge pool of talent all come through at once. We have piles of promise and potential but the only thing that will pull us out of being brave battlers to genuine threats, is for a whole lot of kids making quantum leaps. I also agree on the Dogs, I was very surprised by their list when I looked over it after the draft. They have gone from a promising list to a pretty shallow pool quickly.

Though we are moving in the right direction , a few teams might go past us next year , but it won't be for long. Against what the author said , in our favour are players he wouldn't have entered into the equation , like Clark , Coffield , Freeman , McCartin and possibly Long and Goddard. It didn't surprise me Brisbane were rated above us , as they are putting together a great young list. I think our depth is better than some others around our mark including them , which should've edged us up his list a bit. If he is as accurate as he says with his computations , Pick 5 in the super-draft awaits as our punishment. I have thought for years that when we lose Nick Riewoldt , we might take a step back , before we take two steps forward , but at least I'm not a Dogs supporter. I thought they were in a good position for going forward , but what you said is 'spot on' , about them.

If I get this, his “Following Football” number compares expectations with results.
Meaning if a team underperforms with respect to expectations it is penalised, and if it overperforms with respect to expectations then it is rewarded.
Did I get that right?
Because if so, how does he have Melbourne at 4, and us at 14?
Given the performances are comparable, that means expectations are the variant?
That the expectations for Melbourne were low, and us high?
