Drake gets hate because his lyrics are cheesy as f and because he produces similar songs all the time, not broadly accepted throughout the whole hip hop/rap community. He does lack substance on occasion. He is one of my favourites though ahahaha

Drake is incredibly commercial and was never a gangsta and doesn't pretend to ever have been one. He's happy to rap about chicks, money and how much better than other rappers he is. He's a really smart dude, creates beefs with mainly easy targets to hype himself and kill off the competition. Fact is he's a money maker. All the big rappers wanna work with him cos he will make them money. I personally love his music.

He's very good. But I've got kendrick ahead. Big L is the greatest ever lyricist tho. He's incredible. If he wasn't murdered in his prime he would be talked about with Nas, Pac, Biggie, ect.

Not sure what exactly you think is grossly exaggerated or made up here.

The American middle class are being screwed hardcore and we are exceptionally lucky to live in Australia. To say we should be more forward thinking like them because they legalised dope smoking and gay marriage is honestly ridiculous to me. Are their gun laws forward thinking too? Is the militarisation of the police forward thinking also? Is a political system that is bought and paid for by corporates forward thinking? Is bailing out the banking system forward thinking? Is relentless spying on every single American forward thinking as well?

Seriously what would happen if you got caught smoking a joint in Australia anyway, the cops would politely ask you to put it out? LOL, who cares. Good luck breaking a law in America, the judicial system is a lucky dip. Could get nothing, could get 100 years. Who knows, hopefully you don't get a judge sentencing you that owns stock in the prison and directly receives a profit for the imprisonment of offenders. Think I making that up as well. Seriously, what country would allow private prisons with judges allowed to own stock? That is messed up. I am not anti-American in any way. As you say they are extremely friendly people, but big business runs the country and they do whatever the F they want. If this is forward thinking I do not want any part in it.

Throwing the people a bone like same sex marriage and legalised dope smoking is dwarfed by the loss of civil rights Americans are experiencing every day. Be happy you live in a great country, sure it ain't perfect but it is a hell of a lot sweeter than what they have to cop.

An opinion piece and a ny times article from 2009 are some of your 'evidence' on a few minor cases from a country with a population of over 300 million?

I'm off the mark thinking the states will change their gun laws this century?
I'll wager any money on it. It was not even 5 years ago that gay marriage rights was 'never' going to happen.
Obama came out last week and said changes need to be made, the way they're doing it is wrong.

Marriage equality was always going to happen ever since the western world empowered womens rights and in most cases ethnic divisions as it is natural progression for the populace to accept social reform that allows for the land of the free to be the land of the free if you're black and homosexual with a hispanic boy/girlfriend living in Kentucky. So long as you don't go to a church that tells you where to shove your sinning and have you escorted out under threat of big burly blokes that is. The only reason it has not spread as quickly as it probably should is, by and large, because the previous generation was brought up by nuns and religious doctrine is ingrained upon those who make decisions in a state sense. There will always be a groundswell for social inclusion and reforms to suit, it will however rarely turn into legislated reform because political parties go for the lowest common denominator & lobby groups instead.

It also won 5-4 so barest of majorities and it is a more popular vote than gun control in the USA.

Gun laws won't happen because there is no large groundswell of opinion in the US for it. There was a bill that failed in 2012 (newton massacre), Obama came out in 2014 (Oregon masacre) and there is no bill just as there was no bill that succeeded in '99 (Columbine) and Obama, in 2014 highlighted the point that gun manufacturers are a political force that can shift votes to impact congress, the same is happening in 2015. There was a a shooting, 9 dead, including a pastor, there will be opinion that things should change, but they won't because congress won't pass it, they won't because Obama is finite and his social reforms whilst positive, the USA can simply wait him out and then he's done. Obama also wants to follow our example of a buyback scheme, which the USA will also not allow so any sort or compromise will see gun law being an increase in background checks.

Hey all. My wife has just admitted that the club sent my kids a letter inviting them to Roey's recruits tomorrow morning at Moorabbin. Anyone know anything about it and how to "enrol"? I then got an email from Auskick inviting my little bloke to an Auskick session with the Saints on Monday morning at 10.30 at Moorabbin???? Can anyone fill me in?
