Helen, when are you going to make a positive post about the club? Sure, i'm hard on the boys when they lose, but i pump them up when they have a good win. I think you only ever do the former.

She made a positive one after the Carlton game - when she saw Grant Thomas in the coaches box.. It was wierd but it was positive.

There have been no positives since Butthead sacked Grant Thomas. The team and the club have gone backwards ever since. Next year we will be even worse and the year after we will be right down the bottom again. The firing of GT was bad enough but the hiring of RL destroyed us.

Now this is all Rod Buttress' fault. We all want to kill him i know, but that is the past. It's one hiccup, we can still play finals and if we can get 5th spot, maybe even win one. We got the cattle (lol at Street talk) to do it i think, it's just what happens above the shoulders that concerns me.

For ****s sake that makes me angry. RB has done so much for this club it is unreal. He fixed the finances and made changes to get us successful again. The current board got in on the back of results, not finance and a histerical media campaign. So far they have delivered nothing better than previous years, which is hardly suprising since they stood for absolutley nothing.

Sorry off topic, but it infuriates me.

Actually the board got us a massive sponsor in Jeld-Wen, got Mission down here and got us a nice deal at Frankston, all in under 2 years.

I think they done fine.

Not sure how the board is meant to influence how the team plays on weekends? And RL was chosen by the previous board, not the current one. So dont blame them for choosing him.

If we're going to let NH hijack yet another thread, fine - here goes. Boards are made up of people, and therefore a fallible. Both this board, and the last one, made mistakes. But Butterss did some terrific things like getting us back in the black. And this one, as A2R has pointed out got us great sponsors. GT was a good coach with some deficiencies. Lyon is a 2nd year coach, and must be given some latitude.

Now, back to the point of this thread.

This is not necessarily an easy run home any more, given our current form. I think we CAN win all, but hey, anything's possible for us now. How do people see us lining up in these last four games: Collingwood, Freo in Subi, Adelaide at TD, and the Dons?

No blame re coach or weekend performance. But you are right, I have no idea how a board is meant to change how a team plays, FF was specifically about winning a premiership now. If that is not changing how we play I do not know what is.

Yes, back to topic. I think we are in real danger against the pies this week, but a win here will have us finishing with a home final. Yet another must win (I guess you get that when around the 50%) mark!

Should be interesting if he does decide to abuse every Collingwood supporter at the ground though, he should go sit in the Ponsford.

He can sit in any stand, if its the olympic i will be there personally.
